Our Recent Guild Brawl and Featured Battles

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

Our guild has just finished another brawl. We ended the brawl at the bottom of the standings, next to the last place who didn't have enough members to compete. In today’s post, I’ll share a breakdown of our overall brawl results, share my personal contribution and feature a few of my favorite battles.

Guild Rank and Personal Performance

We finished the brawl in rank nine out of ten guilds. We won sixty three battles and lost over a hundred placing us at the bottom of the standings. The last placer had only few members and scored only seventeen wins. Our guild earned seventy two crowns that we can use to improve our guild buildings.

My personal contribution was not that great either. I only won four battles out of nine. As a result our rewards are lower this time. Each of us who joined the brawl earned 3.8k merits and 34 SPS.

Featured Battle

Battle 1 - Dragon vs Fire

I had the Dragon and Fire splinter in this battle. Instead of the usual two tank combo I frequently use, I switched it to my magic tank combo of Ulundin Overseer and Shiraza. This is a very versatile combo that I use in all splinters. The next three units were all melee with Opportunity ability including my gladiator card, Fina Voxom. The three will work together to hunt down enemy low health units. Lastly, I had Syrenth to Taunt the enemy and draw attacks away from my tank.

The enemy had the Fire splinter with a Drybone Megalodon and legendary gladiator Tatiana Blayde behind. His next cards were magic damage dealers but had low attack power. My team disposed of his low health units in the middle while my frontline dealt with the tanks. It was a win for my team.

Battle 2 - Junior Varsity and Back to Basics

In the next battle, the rulesets were Junior Varsity and Back to Basics. I chose the Earth archon and my line up was composed of two tanks and the rest were magic and range units. Even though the ruleset included Back to Basics which negated unit abilities, the Bloodline Dominion ability from the archon was still active. My elf units still had the Execute ability which was an advantage.

My enemy chose a legendary Death archon, Reklah. His damage dealers were similar to mine, magic and ranged. However, another advantage to my team was that my archon decrease magic damage by one, thus debuffing the enemy's damage dealers. The two advantages led me to winning the battle.
