Hello Splinterlands warriors and welcome back to my blog!

Exemplars are personal player cards that is tied to avatars. Players can customize its stats, abilities, mana cost and element by spending upgrade points. Every player starts with 20 points to allocate and can level up their Exemplar using Glint earned from ranked battles. It's like spending glints to build your own super powered card. In today's post, I'll discuss how I built my Exemplar and show a sample battle where I used it effectively.

Stats and Abilities

My Exemplar is at level five. It's a zero mana support and debuff card. It has no attack, has three armor, one health and one speed. It increases the health of the team with its Strengthen ability while decreasing the enemy's health with Weaken. I built him specifically to team up with units with Weapons Training ability. I'm planning to give him more health stats as he levels up.

Featured Battle

The battle included Noxious Fumes that damages the units at the start of each round. My exemplar's abilities become more crucial under this ruleset. In the tank position I had Ulundin Overseer. It's huge health is a huge asset in this battle since the goal is to outlast the enemy. In second position was Shiraza who grants two magic attacks to none attack units. In third is my Exemplar who gained two more health stats from Strengthen ability. He also gained two magic attacks from Shiraza. On the other hand, it's disappointing that he didn't get any bloodline buffs even though he's an elf. In fourth I had Time Bandit whose Cleanse ability is crucial to remove the Poisoned status from my tank. In fifth was an elf, Blackmoor Wild Elf. Lastly, I had Ujurak Elder, a support unit with Strengthen ability to add health to my team.

The enemy had a legendary archon who grants two units with the powerful Corrupted Healing ability. He also grants the Scavenger ability to Saurian and Bruteborns. These abilities are necessary for survival that is needed in the Noxious Fumes ruleset. Further, he had a unit with Triage ability.

My tank did a great job absorbing attacks. Meanwhile, my own damage dealers destroyed the enemy tank and second tank giving me a huge advantage in battle. Even the enemy's legendary card, Calamity didn't last long against my team's magic attacks. The battle was over quickly in three rounds. It was a great first battle for my Exemplar.
