Arcade Colony Moon Karts: Build a Nebula Guard Racing Set-Up for $223!
Hello Moon Kart racers! I saw a legendary kart, Nebula Guard available in the market for $75.
Let's have another "build a racing set-up" post. This time, let's build one using the Nebula Guard kart. For reference, here are my previous posts on the subject.

Arcade Colony Moon Karts: Build a (mostly) Legendary Racing Set Up for $336
Previously, only the Arachno Eclipse was available in the market and the cheapest was $150. It's an exciting opportunity to see the Nebula Guard available for half the price!. Remember that we only consider NFTs that are sold in the in-game market. Let's start building our racing set-up!
Kart: Nebula Guard $75
The Nebula Guard boasts of top stats. It has speed of 124.5, acceleration of 63.8, health of 82.5 and handling of 92.5. Being a legendary card, at level one, it has four slots open for power ups, three for tech cards and three for accessories making it highly customizable. Compared to the Arachno Eclipse, I like the Nebula Guard better because of its higher handling stats. Here's a head to head comparison between the two.
Stats | Nebula Guard | Arachno Eclipse |
---|---|---|
Speed | 124.5 | 129 |
Acceleration | 63.8 | 82.5 |
Health | 82.5 | 70 |
Handling | 92.5 | 70 |
The Nebula Guard is built for control and sustainability against the Arachno Eclipse which is built for speed and acceleration.
Driver: Luna $25
For a driver, I picked a legendary card, Luna for $25. She has great balanced stats with heavy emphasis on health. Her stats are: speed of 27.3, acceleration of 21.1, health of 37.4 and handling of 21.8. There is a cheaper alternative, Blaze for $21 who also has high health but his acceleration stat is very low. I felt that his stats are imbalanced so I picked Luna instead. Here's comparison between the two. You can choose Blaze if you want a driver that provides more health buff but less acceleration.
Stats | Luna | Blaze |
---|---|---|
Speed | 27.3 | 23.3 |
Acceleration | 21.1 | 10.9 |
Health | 37.4 | 42.9 |
Handling | 21.8 | 26 |
Tech Cards: $103.15
Tech Cards provide boosts to a karts stats like speed, acceleration, health and handling. There are a maximum of three tech cards that you can equip on your kart.
Engine Upgrade $80 | Armor Plating $21 | Tire Upgrade $2.15 |

The Engine Upgrade, priced at $80 on the market, boosts speed by 64.5 and improves acceleration by 4.4. Armor Plating enhances health by 72 and adds an acceleration bonus of 4.8, all for just $21. As there are no legendary cards available, the Tire Upgrade, an epic card was chosen instead. It increases speed by 13.5, improves acceleration by 3.3, and significantly boosts handling by 48.8, costing only $2.15. Altogether, the total cost for these tech cards comes to $103.15.
Accessories $20.25
Similar to tech cards, accessories also provide additional stats to a kart's speed, health, acceleration and handling. There are also a maximum of three accessories that a kart can equip.
Corner Demon $2.50 | Easy Breeze $14.00 | Lite Glide $3.75 |

There are no legendary accessories in the market so I picked epic cards instead.
Corner Demon costs $2.50 in the market helps with the kart's stability increasing handling by 2.3. Easy Breeze which costs $14 boosts the kart's speed by 9.2 while Lite Glide increases the kart's acceleration by 6.3 for $3.75 for a total cost of $20.25.
Power Ups
Power Ups are weapons and defense that you can equip on your kart to disable other racer's karts. One power up can defend against such attacks for a limited time. I did not include Power Ups in my build but you can do so if you so choose. Power Ups are all common cards but costs a lot. A kart can equip a maximum of five power ups. Power up costs range from $3 to $5.
Lunar Glide | Lunar Bolt | Cosmic Disruptor | Lunar Barrier | Celestial Thrust |

Overall Kart Stats and Cost $223.40
This set up is a bit expensive for a total cost of $ 223.40. It will have speed of 239, health of 192, handling of 168 and acceleration of 104. This set up has the best handling stats among the ones we previously built. If you have the budget and willing to invest in this set up then you can buy these cards from the market while they last. The Nebula Guard, for example only has one copy available which is probably the reason for its high cost. Nevertheless, it's cheaper than the Arachno Eclipse that cost for $150 per BCX. You can also try your luck by buying packs from hive-engine.
