Where does Liotes go ?
More than 5 years ago, the liotes project was born and the amazing thing is that the project is still around and we are doing well. The problem is that the broader environment that we are in, is maybe not doing as well as we hoped. Maybe we also don't have the same energy that we had 5 years ago. We had some discussions with @ph1102 and some thinking that I did myself. I came to the realization that for Liotes to continue it's progress, it needs some things that we know but that we have failed so far to translate into reality.
Liotes should attract people from outside of Hive
I believe we are doing quite a good job to keep people motivated on hive through our curation program, our liotes ranking, our liotes missions but we need to accept that we haven't managed much in terms of bringing people from the outside of hive. We tried to run a youtube channel but after one video, we kind of realized that we didn't know what to make videos about...
Income that is independent of the Hive ecosystem
We have tried quite often to get an income from outside the hive ecosystem. We tried to invest into other blockchains and also tried to build a kind of referral marketing concept where people would get rewards for doing some small tasks and we would get a referral commission that we would invest in the project. You guys played along very well but the income that we managed to generate like that was not worth all the work.
The situation has changed
In the past our biggest issue was not knowing how to code and build our ideas. Thanks to AI this threshold has become much lower. While we had tons of ideas in the past, it's now the ideas that are a bit scarce. We have to realize that things have changed a lot in the crypto world and while we believed that we could earn from everywhere, we see now that the potential income sources have dwindled.
The big question: routine or innovation
In the last months, we have reduced our brainstorming sessions and more or less concentrated only on our duties and routine actions. This is what makes the project go on, to grow our hive power and the value of our tokens, at least in hive value. But this doesn't really allow us to see big and try to innovate.
My opinion is that if we just continue with the routine stuff, we will all end up bored in a kind of pseudo interaction. So I would like to try to give myself a kick and go for some innovative bigger project but to do that, I kind of need the help of the community. Also I believe it would be an opportunity for the Liotes community to come together and work as a community. With the objective to build something that increases our reach, brings income from the outside of hive and defines a new energy for us and for the community.

doing things we are not used to do always takes time, thinking outside the box and hoping to find new ways , why not ask an AI what it would do if the normal way of doing things don't work anymore as they should .
I have already grown my root outside, I mean some other chains not here. I reach to a conclusion that HIVE won't go anywhere unless people agree to change the 7 days rewards rule and stop farming and abusing DHF... but any of those would not happen
So I will still stay here for fun only or pseudo interaction if you call that

Just staying "alive" is an achievement in itself. I only just realised that Rising Star has effectively shut down. So sometimes, instead of "going anywhere", perhaps staying put isn't all that bad! 🤣
I don't think there are any negatives about experimenting, at least we know what worked and what didn't. I am perfectly fine with routine (I have a high boredom tolerance haha), but there's no harm with a little trial and error to keep the experimental spirit going. Bottomline is, with or without promotion, I think people who take effort to learn about the Liotes ecosystem will appreciate the beauty of it.
I can tell you’re a little disappointed with reality. The world goes its own way, not the way we’d like it to. I don’t know what you’ll do; I’m just a blogger, I don’t have any grand ambitions, and I’ll stick around here.
Actually, I have nowhere else to go, since I’ve already been everywhere. As for ideas, it’s best to ask an AI.
I think at this point there's nothing left to lose by innovating and everything to gain.
