Survival Mode Paused: Renting Out My Wild Cards & Claiming Seasonal Rewards
On Splinterlands, in Ranked Play, time is marked by seasons that last approximately 15 days.
Season 166 ended a few hours ago and season 167 has begun, which will end in 13 days and 17 hours.
During the current season, it will not be possible to play in Survival Mode because this game mode has entered a pause phase to allow the development team to implement the many changes planned in SPS DAO proposal #223.

The Splinterlands team has not set a release date for the new Survival Mode, but has committed to announcing the release date one month in advance to allow players sufficient time to prepare for the new version of Survival Mode.
I really like the changes planned for the new Survival Mode, and I particularly appreciate the decision to restrict bots in 6 out of 11 brackets.
The decision to ban bots in most brackets is a very positive one because for the first time in Ranked Play, human players will be able to use their wild cards without being forced to play against private bots.
When the new Survival Mode will be released, my intention is to play manually in the brackets that ban bots.
In the previous season, I played in Survival Mode using XBOT.
I finished the season in 51st place in the Silver Leaderboard with a rating score = 1540, 145 battles played by XBOT, and a win rate = 62.76%.
Considering that:
- Survival Mode is paused
- I do not play in Wild Format because the combination of Wild Pass + XBOT fees consumes almost all of my seasonal earnings
- I do not play in Wild Tournaments due to my limited free time
- In Brawls, I play in Fray where it is possible to use cards of the Rebellion and Conclave Arcana sets
In the current season and until the new Survival Mode is released, my Wild Cards will be unused. For this reason, I have decided to rent out all my Wild Cards
If I had used the features in the ITEMS->CARDS section of Splinterlands to select and rent out my wild cards, it would have taken me a long time.
To select and rent out my Wild Cards much more quickly, I preferred to use the useful search filters in the My Cards section of Peakmonsters.
I used the WILD + UNBOUND + Rentable filters to quickly select all my rentable wild cards = not in cooldown, not for sale, etc. etc.
For Market Pricing, I chose the STANDARD option (All 66th PCT) and excluded cards with INVALID PRICES, i.e., cards that are difficult to rent.
In the next image, you can see the 78 cards that I have made available for rental.
If I manage to rent them out, I could earn 133 DEC per day.
Currently, my balance between IN and OUT rentals is slightly negative.
In fact, in the previous season, I spent 1209.99 DEC and earned 1015.42 DEC, with a seasonal loss of -194.56 DEC.
If, thanks to the new cards I put up for rent, I end up with a positive margin, I could rent cards to use in the Modern Format with the aim of improving my win rate in this format.
My Seasonal Rewards
In the last season, I played:
- in Modern Format
- in Survival Mode
- in Frontier Format
- in Brawls
In Modern Format, I finished the season in 42nd place on the Gold Leaderboard with a rating score of 2460, 337 battles played, and a win rate of 48.37%.
In Frontier Format, I finished the season in 433rd place on the Silver Leaderboard with a rating score = 1560, 401 battles played, and a win rate = 45.39%
It wasn't a positive season in terms of my game results because my win rate worsened compared to the previous season, but it was still a positive season in terms of the amount of GLINT earned and the amount of SPS earned.
Today I used 90K GLINT to purchase 12 EPIC DRAWS.
I didn't find enough cards to make upgrades, but I made progress in the completion percentage of the Epic Rebellion Reward card upgrade: 75%!
I conclude this post by showing you two recent battles I played in the Modern Format and Frontier Format, which are my two favorite formats because they are reserved for human players and bots are not allowed!

Modalità Sopravvivenza in Pausa: Metto a Noleggio le mie Wild Cards e Riscatto le Ricompense Stagionali
Su Splinterlands, nel Ranked Play, il tempo è scandito dalle stagioni che hanno una durata di circa 15 giorni.
Da poche ore è terminata la stagione 166 ed è iniziata la stagione 167 che terminerà tra 13 giorni e 17 ore.
Nella stagione in corso non sarà possibile giocare nel Survival Mode perchè questa modalità di gioco è entrata in una fase di pausa per permettere al team di sviluppo di implementare le tante modifiche previste nella SPS DAO proposal #223.

Il team di Splinterlands non ha fissato una data per il rilascio del nuovo Survival Mode ma si è impegnato a comunicare la data del rilascio con un mese di anticipo per permettere ai giocatori di avere sufficiente tempo per prepararsi alla nuova versione del Survival Mode.
Le modifiche previste nel nuovo Survival Mode mi piacciono molto e in particolare ho apprezzato la scelta di restringere i bots in 6 brackets su 11 brackets totali.
La scelta di vietare i bots nella maggior parte dei brackets è una scelta molto positiva perchè per la prima volta nel Ranked Play ci sarà la possibilità per i giocatori umani di utilizzare le proprie wild cards senza essere costretti a giocare contro i bots privati.
Quando sarà rilasciato il nuovo Survival Mode la mia intenzione è di giocare manualmente nei brackets che vietano i bots.
Nella stagione precedente ho giocato nel Survival Mode utilizzando XBOT.
Ho terminato la stagione al 51° posto nella Silver Leaderboard con un punteggio di rating = 1540, 145 battaglie giocate da XBOT e un win rate = 62.76%
Dato che:
- il Survival Mode è in pausa
- non gioco nel Wild Format perchè la combinazione Wild Pass + XBOT fees consuma quasi tutto il mio guadagno stagionale
- non gioco nei Tournaments di tipo wild per il mio poco tempo libero disponibile
- nelle Brawls gioco nelle Fray in cui è possibile utilizzare le carte dei set Rebellion e Conclave Arcana
Nella stagione in corso e fin quando non sarà rilasciato il nuovo Survival Mode le mie Wild Cards saranno inutilizzate.
Per questo motivo ho deciso di mettere a noleggio tutte le mie Wild Cards che hanno richieste nel mercato del noleggio.
Se avessi utilizzato le funzionalità presenti nella sezione ITEMS->CARDS di Splinterlands per selezionare e mettere a noleggio le mie wild cards avrei impiegato molto tempo.
Per selezionare e mettere a noleggio le mie wild cards in un modo molto più veloce ho preferito utilizzare gli utili filtri di ricerca presenti nella sezione My Cards di Peakmonsters.
Ho utilizzato i filtri WILD + UNBOUND + Rentable per selezionare velocemente tutte le mie wild cards noleggiabili = non in cooldown, non in vendita, ecc. ecc.
Peakmonsters mi ha dato una lista di 374 carte = 2502 BCX.
Per il Market Pricing ho scelto l'opzione STANDARD (All 66th PCT) e ho escluso le carte con INVALID PRICES cioè le carte difficilmente noleggiabili.
Nella prossima immagine puoi vedere le 78 carte che ho messo disponibili per il noleggio.
Se riuscirò a darle in noleggio potrei guadagnare 133 DEC al giorno.
Attualmente il mio bilancio tra i noleggi IN e OUT è leggermente negativo.
Infatti nella stagione precedente ho speso 1209.99 DEC e ho guadagnato 1015.42 DEC con una perdita stagionale di -194.56 DEC.
Se grazie alle nuove carte che ho messo a noleggio dovessi avere un margine positivo potrei noleggiare carte da utilizzare nel Modern Format con l'obiettivo di migliorare il mio win rate in questo formato.
Le Mie Ricompense Stagionali
Nell'ultima stagione conclusa ho giocato:
- nel Modern Format
- nel Survival Mode
- nel Frontier Format
- nelle Brawls

Oggi ho usato 90K GLINT per acquistare 12 EPIC DRAW.
Non ho trovato un numero sufficiente di carte per fare upgrades ma ho fatto dei passi in avanti nella percentuale di completamento delle carte Rebellion Reward Epiche: 75%!
Concludo questo post mostrandoti due recenti battaglie che ho giocato nel Modern Format e nel Frontier Format che sono i miei due formati preferiti perchè sono formati riservati ai giocatori umani e i bots non sono consentiti!

The survival mode changes look good, but I think the rental market has kind of been cooling off. I don't think there is as much demand for the cards. Are you going to stop the rental of cards when Survival goes back live?
