Moon Karts Season 42: Leaderboards, Active Players, COLONY/Orbital Points Ratio & My Results and Rewards Analysis (ENG/ITA)

Moon Karts Season 42: Leaderboards, Active Players & COLONY/Orbital Points Ratio
+ My Results and Rewards Analysis!
It is several months that I play and have fun on Moonkarts, a Hive-based arcade race game that is part of the games featured on the Arcade Colony platform.
Moon Karts is one of the games I follow with the most interest because it combines fun, competition, and a well-structured reward system.
Yesterday, November 5, 2025, season 42 ended and season 43 began, which will end in 9 days.
In this post, I share:
- the positions of the two leaderboards of season 42 about 3 minutes before the end of the season
- the calculation of the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio
- the analysis of my game results and rewards in season 42
Season 43 Leaderboards and Active Players
On Moon Karts, players who finish in the top two places in a single race with 5 players receive a prize in COLONY tokens.
In races with six players, third place also receives a prize in COLONY tokens.
All players who play in a race receive ranking points, while players who collect at least 2 orbital items along the route earn Orbital points.
Ranking points and orbital points are the basis of the two seasonal reward mechanisms:
- Ranked Leaderboards (ranking points count)
- Orbitals Leaderboard (orbital points count)
In other games I play, such as Splinterlands and dCrops, you can see the results that players achieved in the previous season.
Moon Karts does not have this feature, and you can only see the results of the two leaderboards during the current season.
I hope that Moon Karts will implement this feature in the future, as I think it is important.
Until this feature is implemented, I will take screenshots of all the positions of the two leaderboards on the last day of the season and possibly a few minutes before the end of the season.
In my previous post, I published screenshots of the two leaderboards that I photographed 15 minutes before the end of the season.
Today I was out of town with my family and couldn't take screenshots of the two leaderboards a few minutes before the end of the season, but I did so when there were about 7 hours left in the season.
In the next images, you can see the positions of the two leaderboards with just under three minutes remaining in Season 42.

The Ranked Leaderboard is based on:
- Ranking Points earned by players in races: 10 Ranking Points for first place, 8 Ranking Points for second place, 5 Ranking points for third place...
- The Staking Factor, which depends on the amount of COLONY staked.
In the Ranked Leaderboard of season 42, the top three positions were occupied by these players:
First place: @mahar26
Second place: @yuno.raize
Third place: @spaceghost25
Mahar26 remains in first place as in the previous season, with the difference that in season 42 he increased his ranking points even more than in season 41.
However, there is a change in the top three positions compared to the previous season, as Yuno.raize takes second place, overtaking spaceghost25, who was in second place in the previous season.
The last place on the Ranked Leaderboard was taken by @essajan14, who with only 5 Ranking Points = probably only one race played during season 42 received a prize of 1865 COLONY.
The last place on the ranked leaderboard corresponds to the number of active players in season = 25.
Compared to season 41, there were two fewer active players in season 42.
The Orbitals Leaderboard is based on:
- the Orbital Points earned by players in races.
- the NFTs that make up the Kart Preset: the rarity and foil of an NFT directly influence the amount of Orbital Points that can be earned during a race.
To earn Orbital Points during a race, you must collect at least 2 Orbitals (in-race items) along the race route.
In the Orbitals Leaderboard of season 42, the top player was @spaceghost25, who collected more than 20 million Orbital Points.
The top three positions were taken by these players:
First place: @spaceghost25
Second place: @yuno.raize
Third place: @libertycrypto27
There have also been changes to the Orbitals Leaderboard compared to last season, as Tryhard32 (second place in season 41) is no longer in the top three, and I have taken third place for the first time since I started playing Moonkarts.
The COLONY/Orbital Points ratio
When I like a game, I keep track of my game results and the rewards I receive, and I also like to calculate general data that may be useful to other players.
In season 42:
- I accumulated 3233793 Orbital Points
- For my position in the Orbitals Leaderboard, I received a reward of 46340 COLONY.
These two pieces of information allow me to calculate the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio.
In season 42, the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio was 0.01432992 COLONY per Orbital point.
The Orbital Points/COLONY ratio is an information that applies to all players and means that 1000 Orbital Points generated 14.32992 COLONY.
Over the last four seasons, the Orbital Points/COLONY ratio has increased season after season.
Analysis of my results and rewards in season 42
In Season 42, I used this Kart Preset:
- Kart: Arachno Eclipse (Legendary)
- Driver: Drift (Legendary)
- Accessories: Flex Edge (Legendary), Jet Flow (Epic), Grip Ease (Rare)
- Tech Cards: Reinforced Body (Epic), Tire Upgrade (Epic), Engine Enhancement (Epic)
- Fuel Consumption: 260.2 (first 10 races)
In season 42, I played 214 races, even though my initial season goal was to play at least 300 races.
In previous seasons, my record for races played was 290 races in season 39.
In fact:
- in season 38, I played 251 races
- in season 39, I played 290 races
- in season 40, I played 73 races
- in season 41, I played 187 races
- in season 42 I played 214 races
I started and ended the season with 757805.53 COLONY staked.
The amount of COLONY staked together with the rating (=Ranking points) determines the Multiplier.
I like to monitor my gaming activity, so I took note of::
- the number of races I played
- the rating points I earned after each race
- my final position in each race
- the amount of Orbitals and Colony collected in each race
- the amount of FUEL consumed
In the next images, you can see the data I collected in each of the races I played in season 42.
On Moon Karts, COLONY token rewards per race increase as the number of races played increases and, consequently, as ranking points increase.
In the first race:
- I finished first (+10 ranking points)
- I collected 6 orbitals and 4 colony along the way (in-game items that do not correspond to COLONY tokens)
- I earned 2.28 COLONY
In the 214th race:
- I finished first (+10 ranking points)
- I collected 6 orbitals and 1 colony along the way
- I earned 79 COLONY
Considering only the rewards won in individual races, I earned a total of 7353 COLONY.
My final results in the two leaderboards were:
- 3rd place in the Orbital Leaderboard - Reward: 46340 COLONY (previous season: 5th place: 24034 COLONY)
- 5th place in the Ranked Leaderboard - Reward: 10404 COLONY (previous season: 7th place: 9390 COLONY)
Based on the market value (Highest Bid) of [COLONY] tokens (https://hive-engine.com/trade/COLONY) and the market value of HIVE tokens ($0.109), I calculated the value in SWAP.HIVE and dollars of the seasonal reward I received for playing in season 42.
Adding up all the rewards I earned (races + leaderboards), I received a total seasonal reward of 64097 COLONY = 44.82 SWAP.HIVE = 4.88$
In season 42, I also monitored the quantity of in-game items I collected along the race tracks and the amount of FUEL I consumed:
- Total Colony items (not tokens): 1125.53
- Total Orbital items: 1180
- Total Fuel Consumed: 50519.2

I have summarized my total seasonal results in tabular form.
Thanks to the rewards I earned in season 42 (leaderboards + races) and thanks to the COLONY tokens I earned from the daily airdrop as an SPS stakeholder and GLX stakeholder (+400.69 COLONY), today I added +64542.43 COLONY to my stake.
I now have 822347.96 COLONY staked.
To reach my goal of 1 million COLONY staked, I still need to accumulate 177652.04 COLONY, and I have completed 82.23% of my goal.
My goals for season 43
In the current season, I have played 19 races and earned 80.94 COLONY.
In the next two images, you can see my partial and temporary position in the two leaderboards.
I like to set challenging seasonal goals, and in season 43 my goal will be to play 300 races.
Given my work and family commitments, it will be a very difficult goal to achieve, but at the same time, I will enjoy trying to achieve it.

Moon Karts Season 42: Leaderboards, il rapporto Orbitals/COLONY e l'Analisi dei miei risultati e delle mie ricompense:
Da diversi mesi gioco e mi diverto su Moonkarts, un Hive-based arcade race game che fa parte dei giochi presenti sulla piattaforma Arcade Colony.
Moon Karts è uno dei giochi che seguo con più interesse perché unisce divertimento, competizione e un sistema di ricompense ben strutturato.
Ieri 5 novembre 2025 è terminata la stagione numero 42 ed è iniziata la stagione 43 che terminerà tra 9 giorni.
In questo post condivido:
- le posizioni delle due leaderboards a circa 3 minuti dalla fine della stagione
- il calcolo del rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points
- l'analisi dei miei risultati di gioco e delle mie ricompense nella stagione 42
Le Leaderboard della stagione 43 e i giocatori attivi
Su Moon Karts i i giocatori che arrivano nei primi due posti in una singola corsa con 5 giocatori ricevono un premio in token COLONY.
Nelle corse in cui partecipano sei giocatori anche il terzo posto riceve un premio in COLONY tokens.
Tutti i giocatori che giocano in una corsa ricevono ranking points mentre i giocatori che raccolgono almeno 2 orbital items lungo il percorso guadagnano Orbital points.
I ranking points e gli orbital points sono alla base dei due meccanismi di ricompensa stagionali:
- Ranked Leaderboards (contano i ranking points)
- Orbitals Leaderboard (contano gli orbital points)
In altri giochi a cui gioco come Splinterlands e dCrops è possibile vedere i risultati che i giocatori hanno ottenuto nella stagione precedente.
Su Moon Karts non c'è questa funzionalità ed è possibile vedere i risultati delle due leaderboards solo durante la stagione in corso.
Spero che in futuro Moon Karts implementi questa funzionalità che secondo me è importante.
Fino a quando questa funzionalità non sarà implementata farò degli screenshots di tutte le posizioni delle due leadearboards durante l'ultimo giorno della stagione e possibilmente pochi minuti prima della fine della stagione.
Nelle prossime immagini puoi vedere le posizioni delle due leaderboards quando mancavano poco meno di tre minuti alla fine della stagione 42.

La Ranked Leaderboards si basa:
- sui Ranking Points guadagnati dai giocatori nelle corse: 10 Ranking points per il primo posto, 8 Ranking points per il secondo posto, 5 Ranking points per il terzo...
- sullo Staking Factor che dipende dal quantitativo di COLONY messi in staking.
Nella Ranked Leaderboard della stagione 42 le prime tre posizioni sono state occupate questi giocatori:
Primo posto: @mahar26
Secondo posto: @yuno.raize
Terzo posto: @spaceghost25
Mahar26 si conferma al primo posto come nella precedente stagione con la differenza che nella stagione 42 ha incrementato ancora di più i ranking points rispetto alla stagione 41.
C'è invece un cambio nei primi tre posti rispetto alla stagione precedente perchè Yuno.raize conquista il secondo posto stagionale superando spaceghost25 che nella precedente stagione occupava il secondo posto.
L'ultimo posto della Ranked Leaderboard è stato occupato da @essajan14 che con soli 5 Ranking Points = probabilmente una sola corsa giocata durante la stagione 42 ha ricevuto un premio di 1865 COLONY.
L'ultimo posto della ranked leaderboard corrisponde al numero dei giocatori attivi stagionali = 25.
Rispetto alla stagione 41, nella stagione 42 ci sono stati due giocatori attivi in meno.
L'Orbitals Leaderboards si basa:
- sugli Orbital Points guadagnati dai giocatori nelle corse.
- sugli NFT che compongono il Kart Preset: la rarità e la foil di un NFT influenzano direttamente il quantitativo di Orbital Points guadagnabili durante una corsa.
Per guadagnare Orbital Points durante una corsa è necessario raccogliere almeno 2 Orbitals (in-race items) lungo il percorso della corsa.
Nella Orbitals Leaderboard della stagione 42 il top player è stato @spaceghost25 che ha collezionato più di 20 milioni di Orbital Points.
Le prime tre posizioni sono state occupate da questi giocatori:
Primo posto: @spaceghost25
Secondo posto: @yuno.raize
Terzo posto: @libertycrypto27
Anche nella Orbitals Leaderboard ci sono state delle modifiche rispetto alla stagione precedente perchè nelle prime tre posizioni non c'è Tryhard32 (secondo posto nella stagione 41) e al terzo posto mi sono posizionato io per la prima volta da quando gioco su Moonkarts.
Il rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points
Quando un gioco mi piace prendo nota dei miei risultati di gioco e delle ricompense che ricevo e mi piace calcolare anche dati generali che possono essere utili anche ad altri giocatori.
Nella stagione 42:
- ho accumulato 3233793 Orbital Points
- per il mio posizionamento nella Orbitals Leaderboard ho ricevuto una ricompensa di 46340 COLONY.
Queste due informazioni mi permettono di calcolare il rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points
Nella stagione 42 il rapporto COLONY/Orbital Points è stato di 0.01432992 COLONY per Orbital point.
Il rapporto Orbital Points/COLONY è un informazione che vale per tutti i giocatori e significa che 1000 Orbital Points hanno generato 14.32992 COLONY.

Ho iniziato e concluso la stagione con 757805.53 COLONY staked.
Il quantitativo di COLONY staked insieme al rating (=Ranking points) determina il Multiplier.
Mi piace monitorare la mia attività di gioco e ho preso nota:
- del numero di corse che ho giocato
- dei punti di rating che ho guadagnato dopo ogni corsa
- del mio posizionamento finale in ogni corsa
- del quantitativo di Orbitals e Colony raccolti in ogni corsa
- del quantitativo di FUEL consumato
Nelle prossime immagini puoi vedere i dati che ho raccolto in ognuna delle corse che ho giocato nella stagione 42.
Su Moon Karts le ricompense in token COLONY per singola corsa aumentano con l'aumentare delle corse giocate e di conseguenza con l'aumentare dei ranking points.
Nella prima corsa:
- sono arrivato primo (+10 Ranking points)
- ho raccolto 6 orbitals e 4 colony lungo il percorso (in-game items che non corrispondono ai COLONY tokens)
- ho guadagnato 2.28 COLONY
Nella 214ma corsa:
- sono arrivato primo (+10 Ranking points)
- ho raccolto 6 orbitals e 1 colony lungo il percorso
- ho guadagnato 79 COLONY
Ho guadagnato il maggior quantitativo di token COLONY nella 204ma corsa: 99 COLONY
Considerando solo le ricompense vinte nelle singole corse ho guadagnato in totale 7353 COLONY.
I miei risultati finali nelle due leaderboards sono stati:
- 3° posto nella Orbital Leaderboard - Reward: 46340 COLONY (stagione precedente: 5° posto: 24034 COLONY)
- 5° posto nella Ranked Leaderboard - Reward: 10404 COLONY (stagione precedente: 7° posto: 9390 COLONY)
In base al valore di mercato (Highest Bid) dei token COLONY e in base al valore di mercato del token HIVE (0.109$) ho calcolato il valore in SWAP.HIVE e in dollari della ricompensa stagionale totale che ho ricevuto per aver giocato nella stagione 42.
Sommando tutte le ricompense che ho guadagnato (races + leaderboards) ho ricevuto una ricompensa stagionale totale di 64097 COLONY = 44.82 SWAP.HIVE = 4.88$

I miei obiettivi per la stagione 43
Mi piace fissare obiettivi stagionali difficili da raggiungere e nella stagione 42 il mio obiettivo sarà di giocare 300 corse.
In base ai miei impegni lavorativi e familiari sarà un obiettivo molto difficile da raggiungere ma allo stesso tempo mi divertirò cercando di raggiungerlo.
Nella stagione in corso ho giocato 19 corse e ho guadagnato 80.94 COLONY.

I still think you did great this season, but the drop in active players might be a concern. I guess it wouldn't affect you because of all the bots.
Bots have been a useful addition because as long as there are few active players, there will be no waiting time to play.
I hope and believe that when the mobile version is released, it will provide greater opportunities to expand the player base. We shall see.
