Desmochadores

Hello, Good morning, Dbuzzers!
Today, while at work, I saw this hard and risky workers who they called themselves "Desmochadores." Their job is to climb up the palm trees and cut the branches and the Palmiche(seed from the royal palm tree). The job is very risky as they have to fight against gravity and, once up, use a machete to cut all the palm branches. The seeds, which are little balls , are excellent food to feed porks as they are rich in protein and oil.

Like I said, this is an excellent nutrient for farm animals, especially pigs.

The job had its risks, and the Desmochador told me he has found snakes and rats on top of palm trees. He told me he is not scared anymore as he is used and trained for that.

Terms:
Desmochador= worker trained to climb high palm trees to clear branches.
Palmiche= Round little balls, the fruit of Royal Palm trees. Used in some Caribbean countries to feed porks.
