Regreso a casa

A veces el cansancio y las ansias de regresar a casa es lo único en que uno piensa cuando maneja de noche en un largo y arduo día de trabajo, no de esos trabajos donde uno tiene un gran esfuerzo físico como lo que hace un obrero de una construcción, no de ese cansancio, pero el esfuerzo mental de estar lidiando con personas de diferentes formas de pensar, tener que estar dando instrucciones o repitiendo la misma información a diferentes personas, eso también genera un gran cansancio.

Ese día, mientras regresaba a mi hogar, después de salir de la oficina y cuando estaba en el auto, le dije a mi esposa que ya iba a la casa, y normalmente ella me responde "cuídate". Me extrañó que no me llegara ese mensaje, así que mientras manejaba también me puse a pensar que seguro no había energía eléctrica en mi hogar, por eso no respondió. Así que me preocupaba que no podría escribir para el concurso, porque era ese viernes. Así que mientras manejaba, en medio de mi cansancio y pensando en las cosas que pasaban, también me acordé que no tenía la foto para el concurso.

Mientras manejaba, detuve por un momento mi auto para tomar esa foto y colocarla para que todos los que me siguen y siempre participan puedan observar, pensar y escribir en función de la foto, y por esa razón esa fotografía fue la que elegí para el concurso.

De regreso a casa me encontré con ese paisaje nocturno, donde una avenida que se llama La Alterna tengo que recorrer desde el puerto hasta Barcelona para poder llegar a mi hogar. En el día, por el alto tráfico, puedo tardar unos 45 minutos desde mi casa hasta la oficina, pero a esa hora que yo estaba regresando a mi hogar eran más o menos las 9 de la noche. A esa hora no hay tráfico, y puedo llegar a mi hogar en un lapso de más o menos 20 a 25 minutos, sin necesidad de correr. Así que mientras pensaba en muchas cosas, también en la foto, me inspiró para colocar el título:

Regreso a casa.

Return Home

Sometimes the fatigue and the longing to return home is the only thing one thinks about when driving at night after a long and arduous day of work—not the kind of work that requires great physical effort like a construction worker, not that kind of tiredness, but the mental strain of dealing with people with different ways of thinking, having to give instructions or repeat the same information to different people. That also generates great exhaustion.

That day, while I was returning home after leaving the office and when I was in the car, I told my wife that I was already on my way home, and normally she replies with "take care." It surprised me that I didn’t get that message, so while I was driving, I also started thinking that there was probably no electricity at home, which is why she didn’t reply. So I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to write for the contest because it was that Friday. And so, while driving in the middle of my exhaustion and thinking about everything that was happening, I also remembered that I didn’t have the photo for the contest.

While driving, I stopped my car for a moment to take that photo and upload it so that everyone who follows me and always participates could observe, think, and write based on the photo. And for that reason, that photograph was the one I chose for the contest.

On my way back home, I came across that nighttime landscape, where there’s an avenue called La Alterna that I have to travel from the port to Barcelona to reach my home. During the day, due to heavy traffic, it can take me about 45 minutes to get from my house to the office, but at that hour, when I was returning home, it was around 9 at night. At that time, there’s no traffic, and I can get home in about 20 to 25 minutes without the need to rush. So, while thinking about many things, the photo also inspired me to come up with the title:
