Estoy muy feliz, quiero contarles una hermosa experiencia la cual viví ayer, se trata de un concurso de arte realizado en la ciudad de trujillo Perú, realmente estaba muy nerviosa por la cantidad de grandes artistas que iban a concursar junto a mí, siendo sincera no tenía muchas esperanzas en mí, pero como dicen por allí, lo más valioso es la experiencia y saber disfrutar el momento; y así fue, fue una experiencia única y divertida la cual compartí con artistas talentosos de la ciudad. El tema a representar fue a la ciudad de trujillo, su cultura, su gente y sobre todo su iconografía. Te muestro aquí todo el proceso que me llevó a conseguir el primer lugar 😊
I am very happy, I want to tell you a beautiful experience which I lived yesterday, it was an art contest held in the city of Trujillo Peru, I was really very nervous about the number of great artists who were going to compete with me, being honest I did not have high hopes for me, but as they say over there, the most valuable thing is the experience and enjoy the moment; and so it was, it was a unique and fun experience which I shared with talented artists of the city. The theme to represent was the city of Trujillo, its culture, its people and especially its iconography. I show you here the whole process that led me to get the first place 😊
Como el tema a representar fue en la plaza de armas, no quería retratar algo típico como es la estatua de la plaza, sino más bien enfocarme en sus fachadas que por sí son bastante históricas y representan muy bien a la ciudad, me causó mucha gracia porque fue una idea no solo mía, creo que todos los participantes pensaron igual que yo y no se enfocaron mucho en la estatua. Yo elegí una fachada amarilla que me gustó mucho, y no se si fue una señal, pero un día antes del concurso tuve un sueño donde justamente pintaba hacia esa dirección jajaja
As the theme to represent was the Plaza de Armas, I didn't want to portray something typical like the statue in the square, but rather focus on its facades, which are quite historic and represent the city very well, I was very amused because it was not only my idea, I think all the participants thought the same as me and didn't focus much on the statue. I chose a yellow façade that I liked a lot, and I don't know if it was a sign, but one day before the contest I had a dream where I was painting in that direction hahaha.
No les voy a mentir, fueron 6 horas de sol, ya que como el concurso empezó temprano en la mañana no sabía en que dirección estaría el sol en el transcurso del día, lamentablemente era en mi dirección, aún así no me rendí y seguí pintando.
I'm not going to lie, it was 6 hours of sun, since the contest started early in the morning I didn't know in which direction the sun would be in the course of the day, unfortunately it was in my direction, even so I didn't give up and kept painting.
Este concurso estuvo formado por 2 categorías (Dibujo) y (Pintura), yo participé en la de pintura, siento que expreso más mi arte cuando se trata de pintura y pinceladas. Como podrán ver, yo me centré en una técnica que para mí es la mejor de todas, el impresionismo, una de mis favoritas, no me gusta mucho la técnica realista, siento que es muy plana, en cambio el impresionismo eleva la visión de la obra, crea por decir, un movimiento visual que me fascina.
This contest consisted of 2 categories (Drawing) and (Painting), I participated in the painting one, I feel that I express my art more when it comes to painting and brush strokes. As you can see, I focused on a technique that for me is the best of all, impressionism, one of my favorites, I do not really like the realistic technique, I feel it is very flat, instead impressionism elevates the vision of the work, it creates, so to say, a visual movement that fascinates me.
Tomamos un pequeño descanso, para nuestro refrigerio, pero literalemente yo seguí pintando mientras comía, no quise perder ni un segundo porque ya nos quedaba poco tiempo.
We took a short break, for our snack, but I literally kept painting while I was eating, I didn't want to waste a second because we were running out of time.
La pintura en vivo me gustó mucho, porque muchas personas se acercaban a mirar y hacían hermosos cumplidos que para un artista es lo mejor, eso te motiva a seguir y confiar mas en ti y en tu trabajo. Algo que me pasó muy divertido, fue que yo tranquilamente estaba pintando una fachada y de la nada me interesé en pintar algo más, algo que resaltara en la obra, así que empecé en las 2 horas que me quedaban restantes, a pintar a una dama bailando "La Marinera", un baile típico de acá de trujillo, una baile que se caracteriza por su elegancia, galantería y pasión.
I liked the live painting very much, because many people came to watch and made beautiful compliments that for an artist is the best, that motivates you to continue and trust more in you and your work. Something that happened to me very funny, was that I was calmly painting a facade and out of nowhere I was interested in painting something else, something that would stand out in the work, so I started in the 2 hours I had left, to paint a lady dancing “La Marinera”, a typical dance here in Trujillo, a dance that is characterized by its elegance, gallantry and passion.
No se cómo, realmente no tenía mucha fe, a solo 2 horas y se me ocurre, pero lo logré, se me hizo muy fácil, como si hubiese planeado ese momento, estaba muy nerviosa, pero iba cada vez confiando en el proceso, y el resultado fue hermoso. Había empezado a pintar a las (10:00am) y a la hora que terminé (4:00pm) entregué mi obra a los evaluadores y ya solo tocaba esperar a que el jurado calificara, 5:00pm anunciarían a los ganadores.
I don't know how, I really didn't have much faith, only 2 hours and it comes to me, but I did it, it was very easy, as if I had planned that moment, I was very nervous, but I was getting more and more confident in the process, and the result was beautiful. I had started painting at (10:00am) and at the time I finished (4:00pm) I gave my work to the evaluators and now it was time to wait for the jury to qualify, 5:00pm they would announce the winners.
La espera me puso muy nerviosa, sinceramente habían muchos artistas talentosos.
The wait made me very nervous, honestly there were so many talented artists.
Pero finalmente, el sol que aguanté por 6 horas, lo poco que comí, el esfuerzo y empeño que dediqué a mi obra, todo, finalmente todo, valió totalmente la pena, se los aseguro. Me fui a mi casa con el 1er lugar, feliz de haber recibido este maravilloso premio, agradecida con todos los que me apoyaron en ese momento y que confiaron en mí cuando ni yo misma lo hacía.
But in the end, the sun that I endured for 6 hours, the little I ate, the effort and determination I put into my work, everything, finally everything, was totally worth it, I assure you. I went home with the 1st place, happy to have received this wonderful award, grateful to all those who supported me at that moment and who trusted me when I did not even trust myself.
Solo me queda seguir adelante y crear, crear mucho arte, llegar a muchas personas y dedicarme a lo que más amo. Muchas gracias por leer y dedicar tu tiempo a esta linda experiencia que comparto con ustedes.
