Dan Saved My Phone Battery!
I learnt a lot about mobile phone battery management today from @danielcarrerag. So here's how he helped me to improve my mobile phone battery life.

This image is the work of Dan. Being the featured image in his post linked above.
Dan's post let me know how important it is to limit charging to 80%. And I'm aware that I have switched on the adaptive charging feature on my new (to me) Google Pixel 7a. But I don't remember anything about an 80% limit. So I delved deeper...

In my Pixel's battery settings I've a choice of Adaptive Charging or Limit to 80%. But I didn't really understand the difference. And I was worried that by limiting charging to 80%, I might invoke some type of memory limitations on the battery that I have heard about. So I clicked the Google link for more information.

That information told me how the different charging optimization options work. But I was left with a personal question...
Is 80% Battery Charging Enough?
Whenever I can, I like to be out and about. For walking, good battery strength is nice for step counting and photos. But for socialising, I absolutely need access to my phone for payment and for my Uber home.
As I thought about limiting my battery charge to 80%, I remembered the excellent power saving options for my phone. In my previous phone, with extreme power saving mode on, the phone was so restricted that it was easier to turn it off. But with my new phone, I have easy access to apps that have been restricted. And I just get a prompt to temporarily override the restriction.

So I'm confident that I can improve my mobile phone battery life by restricting normal charging to 80%. Safe in the knowledge that I will get a 100% on every 10th charge.
Dan also explains about keeping the lower charge limit at 20%. And fortunately, I get a warning when my battery charge level drops to 20%.
How do you manage charging your mobile phone?
