"It felt a little damp outside"

We were in the classroom, and I was explaining basketball techniques and the best way to play to the students. My classes include both theory and practice. While explaining the theory, I noticed through the window that it was drizzling, and it felt a little damp outside.

We didn't have a chance to cover the practical part that day. Part of the class involved practical exercises in our notebooks, simulating being on a basketball court. I presented various situations related to the rules of basketball. The students were enthusiastic and participated enthusiastically.

As physical education teachers, we must be prepared for those days when the weather isn't suitable for physical activity. I, at least, have a backup plan, and if plan A fails, I'm ready.

Being a teacher requires that we always have strategies and techniques at hand so that our students receive adequate preparation for their academic lives and so that we, as teachers, are always productive in the classroom.

"Se sentía un poco húmedo afuera"

Estábamos en el salón y le explicaba a los estudiantes las técnicas del baloncesto y la mejor forma de jugarlo, sin embargo, mis clases incluyen teoría y práctica. Al momento de explicar la teoría observé por medio de la ventana que lloviznaba y se sentía un poco húmedo afuera.

No tuvimos oportunidad de explicar la parte práctica ese día. Parte de la clase realizamos ejercicios prácticos en el cuaderno, simulando que estábamos en una cancha y les presenté diversas situaciones relacionadas con reglas del baloncesto. Los estudiantes se animaron y participaron de manera amena.

Cómo docentes de educación física debemos estar preparados para esos días que el tiempo no está lo suficientemente adecuado para que los chicos hagan práctica física. Yo por lo menos tengo un plan B bajo la manga y si el plan A falla estoy preparada.

Ser docente requiere que siempre tengamos estrategias y técnicas a la mano para que nuestros estudiantes puedan recibir una preparación adecuada para su vida académica y para que el docente sea siempre productivo dentro del aula.
