Do not follow the crowd

Hello friends. I'm happy to share my thoughts with you all from a deep reflection after a conversation with a close friend. This is also my first participation in this community, and I I'm happy to have discovered this amazing space @thoughtfuldailypost community.

We live in a time when people are easily moved by the lifestyles of others, and they are quick to adopt it without thinking deeply if it would have a negative or a positive effect on them. I had a deep conversation with a friend about a distant friend who always follows the step of a certain person without reasoning if such actions might affect their dealings with others or even affect them in the future.

Whatever thing we do in life, we shouldn't try to pretend like we don't see the wrong even when it's glaring. Even when we look up to others as our mentor, we don't have to follow everything they do, knowing fully well that some of their actions are wrong and that we might get caught in the web.

They conversation I had with the friend made me appreciate the gift of having thoughtful friends whom we xan share our concerns with. This helps one think and weigh every decision well before carrying out an action.

Some actions come with great consequences so we need to be careful with our dealings and ensure that we are truthful in all we do so that if by any reason a problem arises that we are somehow indirectly involved in, it would be easy to get cleared from it and we will be vindicated knowing fully well that we are truthful, honest and very transparent without any atom of doubt.

This has taught me a great lesson to stand for what is right and choose to do the right thing all the time. Sometimes, we might become tempted to go along with our superior for illicit gains, but remembering that I will face the consequences at a later time and knowing fully well that nothing lasts forever will help me appreciate my little gains and most importantly, my integrity and reputation will be sustained.

So, if you find yourself in a similar situation, please do not follow the crowd. Stand for what is right always, even when everyone around you does otherwise.
