iPhones Are Great, But Android Still Wins for Me — Here’s Why.
I currently use a Samsung galaxy A13, and honestly, I've never used an iOS device before. Despite that, I have a lot of friends and family members who use iPhones, and one thing that always stands out to me is the camera quality. I must admit, Apple really did a great job with their cameras. The pictures always look clean, bright, and professional, even without editing. That’s something I’ve seen many people talk about and even show off on social media — and it’s honestly one of the biggest reasons why people get drawn to iPhones in the first place.
However, as someone who has used Android phones all my life, I still feel like there are some Android devices that can compete or even beat iPhones in certain areas. Personally, if I had the opportunity to upgrade my phone, I’d go for something like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or the Z Flip. These phones are on another level entirely. They don’t just offer good camera quality that rivals the iPhone, but they also come with high battery capacity — and that’s a big deal for me.
Battery life is actually one of the major reasons I’ve stayed with Android. From what I’ve observed, most iPhones don’t have the strongest batteries. I’ve had so many conversations with iPhone users — friends, classmates— and even my senior sister they always complain about how their phones die quickly. A lot of them can’t even step out of the house without carrying a power bank. In fact, I know someone who jokes that her power bank is her “second phone” because it’s always with her and she uses it more often than the actual phone.
This is something I rarely see among Android users. With many Android devices, especially the newer models, you can go a long time without needing to recharge, even with heavy usage. Whether you’re streaming videos, making calls, browsing social media, or taking photos, the battery tends to hold up pretty well.
Also, I like the flexibility Android phones offer. You can easily transfer files using Bluetooth, you don’t have to worry about compatibility issues, and you’re not forced to use a particular charger or cable type. Meanwhile, with iPhones, there’s always the issue of needing a special charger, not being able to use apps unless they’re from the App Store, or having to go through a long process just to send a song from one device to another. For someone like me who enjoys simple and direct technology, this can be frustrating.
I’m not saying iPhones are bad — far from it. They have a smooth interface, great security, and of course, excellent camera features. But when it comes to overall convenience, longer battery life, and value for money, I think Android phones, especially from brands like Samsung or or even Google pixel, still give Apple a run for its money. Maybe one day I’ll try out an iPhone just to experience the hype for myself. But for now, I’m sticking with Android.

I also love iPhones but I still prefer using Android because I'm also use with Android devices. The only reason I will use iPhone is because of the camera but yet I will not go for it again is because the battery doesn't last just as you said.
I love iPhone and I'm getting one soon. Thanks for sharing.
You have good reasons to stick to your android device. Well done! I love android too.
