Is the altcoin season over?
With Bitcoin hitting unprecedented highs of over $100,000, analysts are wondering whether an altcoin season will happen this cycle.
Ali, a prominent analyst on the X platform, who has around 120,000 followers, noted that the surge in altcoins could make an altcoin season less likely.
With altcoins being so easy to create, especially on low-cost platforms like Solana, the market has become filled with useless projects, many of which are purely fraudulent.
This raises the question of whether there are millions of altcoins to be created.
On the other hand, the CEO of CryptoQuant sees the upcoming season as something completely different.
Instead of a broad altcoin rally, gains will be limited to a handful of altcoins, including:
- XRP, XLM, HBAR, SOL, ADA, and DOGE.
Some of these altcoins have already seen triple-digit percentage gains recently, with some breaking all-time highs.
Positive regulatory changes in the US following Donald Trump’s presidential victory may have played a role in supporting these projects, suggesting that the future could see a selective altcoin season rather than a full-blown wave.
