The Word As An Instrument Of Hope

Good evening everyone, and a happy Sunday to you all.Happy last Sunday of September to you all.You're all welcome to my blog.

This evening, I want to share the topic of today's message with you. The topic was "The word as an instrument of hope."

The message was so powerful,and it relieved me of some certain things that were bordering me.I'm glad I didn't missed today's service.

Our text was taken from the book of Matthew chapter 8:8-12.

In Mathew 8:8-12, this bible verse talks about Jesus Christ and the centurion. Jesus was going about Capernaum healing people.

So when he saw Jesus, he went to him and told him his servant was sick of the palsy. So Jesus told him that he would be coming to his house.

So when Jesus arrived there, he wanted to enter the centurion's house, but he insisted that he should stay outside.

He told Jesus he was not worthy to have Jesus come under his roof. He pleaded with Jesus to speak a word, and his servant would be healed.

Jesus marveled at his faith. He confirmed that he hasn't seen anyone who has exhibited such faith before in Israel.

Jesus asked him to go his way, that as he had believed in his heart, so it shall be done, and he went away rejoicing.

By the time he reached home, he realized his servant was healed as Jesus had promised him.

What then can we say about this?
The word of God serves as an instrument of hope to those who believe in it.

The centurion believed in the word of God, and that was why hope was restored to him and his servant.

There were other things I learnt from today's message.

1. The word of God builds our hope in the Lord.
2. Grace is the power of God that overcomes the spirit of impossibility.
3. Grace is a force that changes life situations
4. Grace is divine empowerment.

The word of God walks together with Grace. Once the word is there, grace makes it possible for you to use the word perfectly.

I don't know how you've been using the word of God. Some use it to mock God, while some use it to back themselves up.

Remember the word of God carries power. It can pull down every stronghold. Remember, God created everything using the word.

I want you as a Christian to understand that you need the word of God in your everyday journey with God. It is the only word that can sustain you.

It is the only word that can make you conquer your enemies. The word of God is the only word that can serve as an instrument of hope to you, when it seems all hope is gone.

Think about Christ. Think about how you can use his words to restore the lost hope.
