The Awakening Hope

Good evening members of the Ink-well community. It's good to see myself here in this community again because it has been a while.

I welcome you all to my blog. I want to share my fictional story this evening and the topic is The Awakening Hope.

Ubong was ten years old, and he lived with his grandmother in the town of Oro.

He was a very handsome boy and a hard-working type. People who lived in his hometown always admired him.

Oro is a nation on its own, but a riverine area. Ubong loves going there to assist his friend's parents, who spent all their lives in the river gathering fish.

There are good schools in that town, and people who happen to come from there seem to be Sound educationally.

Each time he sees those people, he always reminds his grandmother about his interest in school.

He loved school even when he didn't have anyone capable enough to grant him his heart desires.

He was courageous and always determined to get what he wanted through hard work and rendering services to people around him.

His grandmother always advised him each time he wanted to go astray.

He always listened to that old woman because she was all he had, and if, out of his carelessness, his grandmother died, it wouldn't be easier for him.

Three years later, he realized his savings, had gone a long way. He didn't inform anyone about it because he wanted it to be a surprise.

He told his grandmother though he was going through hell, he was saving some money for his Education.

He summed up the courage and decided to enroll in school. He did excellently in school. His teachers began to ask him how he managed to perform well in school.

Most of the teachers in that school knew him very well. They knew he didn't have time to attend any school, nor did he have time to study by himself.

He told them it was an inbuilt knowledge from God, that he had never been tutored before. They didn't believe him because he sounded so strange.

They asked him how come he was able to read barely everything he saw, but he still told them the same thing.

He was forced to tell them that when there's need, there must surely be a zeal. They were so excited to hear that from a young person who was trying to be who he hoped to be.

His teachers couldn't help but smile at him. He told them that he had been praying for such a day to come. A day he would share his life story, and that of his immediate transformation.

He told them how he started, the determination he made for himself, and how he was able to actualize his proposed dream.

He told them that consistency was the tool he used in awakening this hope that he thought had vanished.

Thank you for reading till the end.

I remain your favorite girl @joyben.
