My Wednesday Walk: A Moment At My Community Market
Good evening, all members of the Wednesday walk community. It's good to have you here in this space. You're all welcome to my blog.
Today is Wednesday, a day I love trekking to some places around my community. I'm from the Uruan local government area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
It's a big town where different people live. In my community, there are schools, churches, markets, and a big river at Issiet Ekim, where all the fish and other things are gotten from.
The river leads to Oron, Ibaka, Cameroon, etc.
So last night I was thinking of where to trek today. So a thought came into my mind. I recalled there's a big market in my community.
The name of my community is Ituk Mbang community. Our market is big, and people from different communities come there to buy and also sell.
So since my mind was asking me to visit the market today, I decided to do just as my mind told me to do.
So I woke up as early as 6.30 am to the market, so I would view every food item before they're sold out to buyers.
So the first thing that caught my attention was a woman. She looked beautiful. Indeed some women are very strong and courageous.

I learnt she has so many children, but she still wants to sell at the market. You needed to see how she was bending to arrange her fish for sale.
The fish was arranged in rolls using a stick. And I learnt she sold them for fourteen thousand naira each.

I loved everything I saw because it motivated me a lot. I love that, and I would love to visit there again this weekend.
The next place I visited was my mom's marketplace. She sells food items like Maggi, palm oil, onions, fresh pepper, dry pepper, sachet salts, crayfish, soda soap, stockfish, etc.

When I arrived there, she was shocked. And I told her, I was doing my Wednesday walk as usual. She permitted me to take a photo of her goods.
Immediately after that, I looked for a nice place, I took a chair from the owner of the place, and then I took a photo.
Believe me, my Wednesday walk has been a fruitful one. I enjoyed the whole walk because I didn't go to all the places in the market.
I only wanted to visit at least two places inside the market, then during this weekend, I would go back there to visit other people who are also selling in the market.
I will also take photos of their goods, their prices, and where they get those goods from. That is exactly what I have in mind for this weekend.
I'm so glad that I've made it to the market today, and I've been able to reach two marketplaces before I returned to my parents' house.
Thank you, everyone, for reading through my post.
I remain your favorite girl @joyben.
