How To Access The Goodness Of God
Happy Sunday to everyone here in the kingdom family. It feels good to have you here in this space. I welcome you all.
I'm so excited to make a post again in this community after a while, and I know that tonight's write-up will be a big Blessing to you.
Earlier today, my pastor shared the word of God with us in the church. It was a powerful Sunday service filled with the holy spirit.
The theme for this month is the unfailing Goodness of God, and it matches with today's ministration which was titled God is merciful.
Honestly, it was a kind of service I've always wanted to be a part of. And, I'm glad I didn't miss out in any way.
I want to stir up our minds this evening with what I title "How to access the Goodness of God. Wow! What an interesting topic to deliberate on.
Indeed, his Goodness and mercies are new every morning. The Bible says in the book of John chapter 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave him only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
This simply means that the Goodness and the love of God for mankind didn't start today. It started a thousand years ago.
The bible recorded that through the blood of Jesus and the power of his resurrection, we have full access to the Goodness of God.
Note that this goodness isn't limited in any way; it is available to everyone who receives him as their Lord and Savior.
If you have him as your saviour you're indeed free to have direct access to the throne of grace. But if you're still wallowing in sin, it will be impossible for you to admit that you've indeed had access to his goodness.
This is because you've not yet come to the knowledge of truth. Everyone has equal rights of access to the unfailing goodness of God.
Never think that because you don't know much about Christ, that's why you feel that his goodness is limited; it's not; just decide tonight to make him your friend, and you will be free to have direct access to his goodness.
Criteria for accessing the goodness of God
The following are the criteria for accessing the Goodness of God.
(1) By Thanksgiving: This is something most people couldn't do in their entire life. They feel that if they thank God or anyone who has been helping them, it would take their respect.
I want to tell you that it's wrong. Always thank God for everything he has done for you. If you do this, it won't be difficult to access the goodness of God. Paslms 101:1-4
(2) We can access God's goodness through faith: His goodness can indeed be accessed through faith. The Bible says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things, not Galatians 3:26
Once you believe in your heart that without you seeing the goodness of God physically, that means you're exercising your faith at that moment. Your faith at that moment, is what you will use to gain direct access to the goodness of God.
(3) We can also access God's goodness by submitting to God's discipline. There's one perception about discipline. Some people see discipline as something bad. And some see it as a punishment. Hebrews 12:3-11
The Bible says that God chastises the child he loves. So, for me, discipline is good because it's meant to correct and shape us for a better tomorrow. If we're not disciplined, it will be very difficult for us to grow both physically and spiritually.
So, we all need to be disciplined so we can access the goodness of God.
(4) We can access the goodness of God by being obedient to his word. A lot of us are very stubborn; we never want to listen to people's advice. This is not your fault; it's because you've not yet had a special encounter with him.
We all must learn to be obedient in everything we do. Let's try as much as possible to obey our master who's our lord Jesus Christ.
Let's learn to listen to his voice and also act according to his directives. If we do that, we will have access to the goodness of God.
In conclusion, the Goodness of God is beckoning on everyone. God wants to take you to a higher level that's why he wants you to have access to his goodness. Don't be stubborn; try him by accepting this great invitation.
