Developing And Empowering Leaders To Coordinate Harvest
Happy Sunday to you all, welcome to my blog.
Today's service was a very impactful one. I felt the presence of God everywhere, especially while the choir was ministering.
This afternoon, I want to share my view on what I call developing and empowering leaders to coordinate harvest.
This is a very good topic to write on. I hope you're aware that we don't have much time to live on earth. A lot of things the bible talked about have happened, so we ought to be alert lest we miss out.
So we ought to develop and empower leaders, both men and women, who would help in accomplishing God's purpose on earth.
If you're a leader, you are given the mandate to produce other leaders who will take over from you when you're no more. There's no point being a leader, and at the end of the day, you can't reproduce your kind.
I will be reading from the book of Ephesians, chapter 4:11. I will be using the King James version to read.
And it says, And his gifts were that some should be Apostles, some prophets, some Evangelists, some pastors and teachers.
If you read carefully, you will discover that this scripture talks about the five-fold ministry. God gave this for the edification of the body of Christ.
The responsibility of the five-fold ministry
- To develop God's people to God's kingdom, (Matthew 9: 37-38) This scripture says, Then he said to his disciples, verses 37: "The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few;
38: Pray therefore the lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest."
Note: Our value for God as Christians shouldn't be temporal but eternal. This is one thing every believer should know. Everything that has to do with you and God shouldn't finish here, it should be able to last till eternity.
Know that leadership is not an achievement as most people think. It is a responsibility that requires hard work.
As someone who is occupying a leadership position, you're not to be the first person to leave the church, or your subjects. It is always good to be the last person to leave.
The reason is that you would make sure everything is put in place before you leave. A good leader must have foresight. He or she must know how to put things right even when others couldn't.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is seen today as a model. He modelled Christ throughout his earthly ministry. He was a good leader who lived by example.
So every leader, great or small, ought to live an exemplary life just as Jesus did. He wanted us to learn leadership from him. It's a good quality, but it requires strength, and determination.
When you want to succeed in God's
Work, you should start in a small way, and you should also be careful about it.
You must purge yourself so that God will receive the services you render.
Thank you all.
