Be wise When Making A Choice
Hello! It's a new week and a new day. And, I'm thrilled to have you here in this space.
I want to share my experience on what I title Be wise when making a choice. The choice I'm writing about is about marriage.
Your choice today might yield either a positive result or a negative result. Everyone must be very careful while making their choices in marriage.
Don't choose your spouse because she is beautiful, but try to find out those things that make her so special and attractive to you.
To so many Bachelors and spinsters out there, marriage is an opportunity, and once they miss the opportunity, they can never make it again.
I say no to that. You can still survive without it. You must first and foremost know who you are, what you want, and how you want it to be.
It depends on you. It's not an opportunity and a bed of roses, as they say. Till tomorrow, I will never agree that marriage is an opportunity.
I want to back up my claims with this true life story. There's a man in my village. He's well educated and he's also a computer literate.
After he finished his studies in college, he met a lady whom he wanted to get married to. So, since the lady was eager to go to the school of Nursing, he tried his best to send her to school.
But something tragic occurred. While he was still waiting for her to finish in the school of Nursing, he came across a beautiful lady.
So he forgot about the lady he spent all his hard-earned money on. He asked her about her profession, and she told him, she was a Geologist.
When he heard this, he didn't care to enquire about her. He saw that as an opportunity because, to him, it would take a long time before the lady he was training would become a Nurse.
He rushed and dated the second lady he met, and they later got married to each other. After the marriage, he realized the lady wasn't who she claimed she was.
She left the college because she couldn't cope with her studies.
Sadly enough, she gave birth to five children, and both of them are suffering now.
A few months ago, he went to the hospital for a check-up, so when he arrived at the hospital, he realized the lady he trained was now a certified Nurse, and she was good at what she was doing.
He couldn't bear his shame, he had to vacate the hospital premises.
You see! Marriage is never an opportunity. Had it been he waited for the person he claimed to love, to finish her program, I don't think he would have suffered as he's suffering now.
In conclusion, always consider your well-being when making a choice. Don't be in haste because your friends have gone far.
It's better to marry once and marry right so that what occurred to that man won't occur to you.
Thank you for your time.
I remain your favorite girl @joyben.
