A Lie I Was Made To Believe As A Student

Hello, my fellow students.I want to speak on the topic, the lie I was made to believe as a student.

Life is full of ups and downs. As a university student which I'm, I was made to believe in a certain lie when I didn't gain admission into the university.

This word kept hurting me each time I wanted to take a bold step.

Believe me, this is a lie that has found its way into our homes and institutions. Funny enough, it has become part of us.

When I finished secondary school in the year 2018, I planned on writing the JAMB examination.

I couldn't write the exams that year, so I had to wait till the following year. I didn't want to write the exams without attending a JAMB class, so my parents paid for me.

A few weeks before the exam day, I met an elderly person on my way back from class. She told me she saw me somewhere near her cousin's house, and I told her I was attending a jamb class there.

I thought she would leave so I could go my way, but she refused to go.

Guess what she told me! She told me that it's very hard to pass university examination, and before I could pass, I have to pass through certain procedures before passing the exams.

I was shocked because I was hearing that for the first time. So I asked her what the procedures were, and she told me that as a female student, I would have an affair with my lecturers before I could pass their exams.

Throughout that week I was lost in deep thoughts. I barely ate what my parents gave me. My parents noticed my sudden change of attitude, and they decided to know what was eating me up, but I couldn't relate.

So the day for the exams was finally fixed, and I went to my exam center and I wrote my exams successfully.

Sadly enough, I didn't have the admission. I wrote again, and I got it.

I was eager to know if what I was told was the truth. I paid attention to everything.

I've come to realize that the way one makes his bed is the same way he will lie on it.

I never miss my classes, but if I do by mistake, I have to get the note and write. During my exams, I give out my best.

I've been convinced, that
The word was a lie, be serious with your studies, and during exams give out your best, no Lecturer would want to sleep with you.

I discovered that most of these ladies who fall victim to these circumstances are those who don't want to sit down and study. Tell me why they wouldn't be used as rags.

In conclusion, never believe in this lie again as a student, study well to avoid story that touches the heart.
