¿How do you feel posing?📸 (eng-esp)

Hello everyone! I'm Joselyn, a new member of the community, and today I want to share with you one of my first experiences modeling in front of a professional camera.

I find satisfaction in helping others shine through a lens, yet I also find it challenging to stand in front of it myself. My intention with these photos was to represent different sides of my personality. We can all be more than one thing and still come together to form a unique whole.
By now, it has become more natural for me, but posing will always be my moment to express all the shyness that may reside within me.

The photos were taken by a great friend who was just starting out in the world of photography. He had previous experience with mobile photography and, just like for me, this was his first opportunity with a professional camera. At that time, I didn't know how to operate my camera, so he took care of the technical side, and I had only one task: to let go and represent what I wanted to convey in my photos.

I tried to show three different sides: the first, the most logical, studious, and focused part of me; the second, the more natural and playful side; and the third, the most creative and experimental part. Each of them showcases different facets of who I am. It was a beautiful experience that I hold among my most precious memories. Part of the credit goes to my photographer, who managed to make me feel completely comfortable at all times, and for a couple of hours, I felt like the main character in the eye of a thousand paparazzi.

I believe one of the key points to feeling satisfied after a photoshoot is how you felt while being photographed and how that creative process unfolded.

For others, the photos may just be a representation of trends, styles, or concepts used on social media to identify certain aesthetics. But for me, they represent the image I want to see of myself when I was a teenager, going through all these stages. Photography achieves this dual effect: while for some it is a symbol of beauty, status, and recognition, for others it represents memories, feelings, and emotions. In both cases, it's the right answer—it just depends on which side you're looking from.

Hola a todos! Soy Joselyn, miembro nuevo de la comunidad y hoy quiero compartir con ustedes unos de mis primeros contactos modelando frente a una cámara profesional.

Encuentro satisfacción en ayudar a brillar a los demás a través de un lente, sin embargo también encuentro retador pararme delante de él. Mi intención con estas fotos era representar diferentes lados de mi personalidad, todos podemos ser más de una cosa y aún así conformar un todo único.
En este tiempo ya se convirtió en algo más natural pero posar siempre será mi momento para expresar toda la timidez que pueda habitar en mi.

Las fotos fueron hechas por un gran amigo que estaba comenzando en el mundo fotográfico, tenía experiencia previa en fotografía móvil y al igual que para mi fue su primera oportunidad con una cámara profesional. Para ese entonces yo no sabía manipular mi cámara así q el se hizo cargo de la parte técnica, y yo solo tenía una tarea: dejarme llevar y representar lo que quería transmitir en mis fotos.

Intenté mostrar 3 lados diferentes: el primero; la parte más lógica, estudiosa y enfocada, el segundo; la parte más natural y traviesa y el tercero; la parte más creativa y experimental. Cada una de ellas evidenciando diferentes facetas de mi misma. Fue una experiencia muy linda que guardo en mi recuerdos más preciados, parte del mérito lo lleva mi fotógrafo que logró hacerme sentir totalmente cómoda en todo momento, y por un par de horas me sentí totalmente protagonista en el ojo de mil paparazzis.

Considero que uno de los puntos claves de quedar satisfecho al salir de una sesión de fotos, es cómo te sentiste siendo fotografiada y cómo se desarrolló todo ese proceso creativo.

Para los demás las fotos serán solo una representación de tendencias, estilos o conceptos usados en redes para identificar ciertas estéticas, pero para mí representan la imagen que quiero que ver de mi misma cuando fui adolescente transitando por todas estas etapas. La fotografía logra ese efecto dual, mientras para algunos es símbolo de belleza, estatus y reconocimiento para otros representa recuerdos, sentimientos y emociones, en ambos casos es la respuesta correcta, solo depende desde el lado que lo mires.
