My favorites from Los prisioneros (esp/eng) - Three Tune Tuesday - Week 255
Hola amigos esta es mi participación en la actividad organizada por @ablaze y el día de hoy les quiero traer una banda en español, una de las bandas que escuchaba mi padre y que siempre me trae buenos recuerdos.
Hello friends, this is my participation in the activity organized by @ablaze and today I want to bring you a Spanish band, one of the bands that my father listened to and that always brings back good memories.
Estrechez De Corazón
Quiero empezar mi top 3 con este gran tema, los sonidos son mágicos y te transportan a esas épocas antiguas de los 80 y 90. Este tema lo siento como un reclamo a esa persona que no es capaz de entender pues con todos es blanda pero contigo no. Me pongo en el caso donde yo he sido esa persona con el corazón cerrado, la otra persona lo intenta pero cuando ya no quieres tratas mal y con indiferencia, es mejor decir las cosas claras y avanzar.
I want to start my top 3 with this great song. The sounds are magical and transport you back to those bygone days of the '80s and '90s. I feel like this song is a plea to that person who isn't capable of understanding, because they're gentle with everyone else but not with you. I can relate to being that person with a closed heart; the other person tries, but when you're no longer interested, you treat them badly and with indifference. It's better to be clear about things and move on.
Tren Al Sur
Esta es mi favorita de la banda, desde que empiezan los primeros acordes me atrapa. Es una banda chilena y el tema trata de huir de la opresión y los problemas viajando mas al sur del país. Al hacer el escape en tren le permite observar los lindos paisajes y olvidar las cosas malas, y que si lo hace en tren no es por ser pobre sino porque disfruta este viaje y me llega mucho pues lo relaciono, hay cosas que talvez a los demás no les llama la atención pero si eso te hace feliz a ti, los demás no deberían interferir.
This is my favorite song by the band; it grabs me from the very first chords. They're a Chilean band, and the song is about escaping oppression and problems by traveling further south in the country. Making the escape by train allows them to observe the beautiful landscapes and forget the bad things, and the fact that they travel by train isn't because they're poor, but because they enjoy the journey. This really resonates with me because I can relate to it. There are things that might not interest others, but if something makes you happy, others shouldn't interfere.
Sexo
Esta gran banda cuenta con temas increíbles pero con temas muy políticos de la época, a pesar que este tema tenga por titulo "sexo" en realidad trata de como ya todo era machismo y que ser virgen era algo pasado de moda y con el paso de los años los modales se van acabando. En cuanto al sonido me parece el mas dinámico y animado, de los mas escuchados por los latinos, el ritmo de la parte final es de mis favoritos.
Lo que me gustaba mucho de los temas de los prisioneros es justamente eso, que no tenían miedo de cantar y exponer las cosas malas de la sociedad, ahora todo es por cancelación así que nadie se atreve a cantar temas de protesta.
Tenia muchos mas temas para elegir pero me voy con estas en esta ocasión, espero sea de su agrado mis temas propuestos.
This great band has incredible songs, but they also have very political themes from that era. Even though this song is titled "Sex," it's actually about how everything was becoming machismo and how being a virgin was considered outdated, and how, as the years go by, manners are disappearing. As for the sound, I find it to be one of the most dynamic and lively, among the most listened to by Latinos. The rhythm of the final part is one of my favorites.
What I really liked about Los Prisioneros' songs is precisely that: they weren't afraid to sing about and expose the bad things in society. Now everything is canceled, so nobody dares to sing protest songs.
I had many more songs to choose from, but I'll go with these this time. I hope you enjoy my suggestions.
