Artificial Intelligence that searches for Exoplanets.
Artificial Intelligence that searches for Exoplanets.
We do not have the capacity to travel to other stars, not yet, we do not have that capacity, but I am convinced that it will be achieved one day, maybe, within 200 years, maybe, within 20 years, because this technological evolution of inventions does not always go step by step, it is not laying a brick a brick and it is not a path as long as it goes at the same speed, sometimes something is discovered that breaks, opens the doors and a stream of inventions is produced at an incredible speed.
NASA published on January 22 that the ExoMiner artificial intelligence model, developed by NASA scientists, had validated 370 new exoplanets since 2021, using the enormous data bank left by the Kepler mission, which ended in 2018. Now what is news now is that they have released an improved version called ExoMiner++, the point is that this artificial intelligence, this improved version, has been trained with combined data not only of the Kepler mission, but also of the TESS mission, which is still in operation, at least until 2027.

I'm not surprised at the achievement of Exominer++, identifying thousands of Exoplanets; generally, AI is already performing great feat in diverse areas, making various tasks easier to accomplish. However, the mission of searching for a planet that would support life should be secondary; man's primary concern should be making planet earth safer, by checking or curtailing activities that gradually degrades the atmosphere
