The MEV Personal Size Large Print Bible
This is uncharted territory for me!
While I will never claim to be 'KJV Only', I do tend to stay in that translation. I dabble in NKJV as well from time to time but I keep going back to the KJV.
It's home for me, my comfort zone if you will.
Recently I've been fascinated with the Modern English Version as it translates from the same Greek Manuscripts - The textus receptus.
So the idea is intriguing...A complete update of the King James, the first of it's kind since the NKJV was created in the 1980's. I decided to take the plunge!
This is my first look into the Modern English Version, better known as the MEV!
While I don't have a concrete opinion on the translation yet (I've only read a few chapters of it) it did feel like home. I'll continue to dive in and see how it goes :)
So this review is more of what you get when you purchase it, not so much my opinion on the translation.
This is a VERY affordable bible, as I only paid around $20 for it on Amazon. So while you aren't going to get a 'premium bible experience', it's very good for the price.
What sets this apart from a lot of bibles I own is....The size! It's perfect.
I wish more bible publishers manufactured bibles in this TRUE personal size format. The paper was decent, not too thin, and the cover was soft and flexible. It only has one ribbon marker which is a let down, but not a huge deal.
But the size...That's what made this a joy to read from!

The price and size are attractive features, and it seems a fantastic choice for anyone looking for something that is both portable and significant.
Wow, this will be amazing to see and read from. Translating KJV into a portable size is beautiful, I would love to own such!!
