The KJV Center Column Reference Bible - Review

Note: Originally uploaded this via 3speak but alas...It never worked so. Just grabbing this from my YouTube channel to make sure it's on the blockchain as well.

Over the past few videos, I have been focusing on premium bibles! That might make you think, that's all I own. In fact, I own....3 premiums and I reviewed 2 of them recently.

The rest of my bibles are what I would call 'middle of the road' or much more budget friendly books.

Take for example this latest review I did about one of my favorite KJV bibles on the market by Thomas Nelson - The Center Column Reference bible.

Here's the specs and features:

  • Over 73,000 cross references & translator notes
  • Book introductions
  • Multiple informative articles
  • 30 day reading plans
  • 9.5 point Comfort Print font
  • Double column layout
  • Smyth Sewn
  • Black leathersoft cover
  • 2 ribbon markers
  • Dimensions: 9.5 inches by 6.5 inches by 1.25 inches
  • Bible maps
  • Over 20 note taking pages
  • ISBN 978-1-4003-3056-0

And so much more!

Jam packed and super affordable, this is a gem of a bible!

And just a friendly reminder...I spent about 30 bucks Canadian on this bible. That's about as cheap as it gets for all the features and quality of it!

Your love for bibles comes across in your review, and it's obvious that this particular one holds a special spot in your collection ;)

Just curious. It seems all of your reviews are King James Version. Are you solely a King James version man? I grew up on KJV, but have moved to English Standard version years ago.

Pretty cool job you have by the way.

So I read both the KJV and the NKJV. Textus receptus manuscripts are my choice if you put a gun to my head.

I learned the bible (or continue to learn the bible) with the KJV. So it's my 'comfort' zone per se. That being said, I'm not one of those crazies that think the KJV is the only 'real' bible translation.

It's just my preferred translation and what I'm used to. I do own an NASB and a NET bible that I have dabbled in from time to time.

Yeah. I stopped using the KJV decades ago, but it is funny that almost all of the scripture in my head is KJV speak! That is the way I memorized it!

Oh for sure....That's another reason why I wanna keep using it. All the scripture I do remember verbatim is from the KJV lol

But I'm not against reading any translation really....The NET is pretty slick with all the translator notes in it. Gives you some massive insight into what the translators were thinking
