Keep On, Keeping On!

So here we are....

17 blog posts in the #bible911 series. This idea was from the graphic that I shared below about a month or so ago. I printed this out and had it pasted to the front of my old bible. I've looked at these verses and chapters for years but it was quite rewarding to go through them again for this blog post series.

Of course, I'll be on the hunt for another #christian graphic online that we can go over as a community. But for now....The last topic of the image:

Discouraged with work is the topic and the chapter we will focus on is Psalms 126. And while this is a great short chapter in the book of Psalms, it doesn't really scream 'work related' for me. So rather than trying to make this fit into some big lesson that we can take with us while we are feeling discouraged with work I want to look at the entire book of Psalms as something that will help....Anytime we are feeling discouraged.

To be honest, Psalm 23 while the #bible911 graphic had the topic of loneliness for it's focus, I think it actually fits more with discouragement.

And here's my reasons why....

The valley of the shadow of death within the 23rd division doesn't have to always mean 'death' in the literal sense. Because I don't know about you, but there are quite a few times when I feel discouraged, it feels like nothing but darkness all around.

But what are we to do with darkness?

We once again need to remember that we are the children of light, and if God is the complete opposite of darkness, than we have a sure word of protection.

Hey I know, trust me I know, being discouraged with life and specifically with your work / career can come. All the pressure to provide for your family and or just making sure the bills are paid to feed yourself...It's not easy in this world. It almost attracts darkness to you, and you feel weighed down from it all.

Be of good courage! That's what God told Joshua :)

The courage and strength to keep on, keeping on comes from your Lord and Saviour. Think about it, He has overcome the world and the pain, the darkness, the suffering...All this is temporary. We are only pilgrims here on this journey, and while we know discouragement shows up in our daily lives, we rest in Christ!

I'm re-reading my blog post right now and laughed to myself....

When I had my own online business I used to do live training with my customers almost daily. This went on for years and I truly did love every minute of it. I used to repeat what I just wrote above lol No idea why this reminded me of those times in my life but this is literally what I used to tell my customers....So it's time I take my own advice.

"Keep on, keeping on! The victory is that much sweeter when you keep going!"

Wise words Jongo...And back then, what I didn't know, was that the advice I was promoting to my customers, comes directly from the pages of Scripture.

As we close this series, I hope it was a blessing to you. I pray that you take some of these verses and chapters, and keep them close to your heart and mind. Meditate on them, pray over them and know that we always have safety and security with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Stay tuned for our next series :)

Difficult times teach us the humility necessary to face life.

Interesting to have a compilation for reference. Do you know if there is any for money and develop quotes? I know that proverbs has a lot, but is there any other one?

I've come to understand that the book of Psalms can boost one's faith, hope and trust again, bringing us back on track and an abundance of blessings when we pray with them. We see things clearer and understand better.

"Keep on, keeping on! The victory is that much sweeter when you keep going!"

That's right. Yeah, Victory is celebrated at the end of the tunnel.

The Holy Bible is a rich book that contains all we need to know to know God, love Him, be willing to serve Him, and live a fulfilled life.

Thanks, Jongo, for sharing and including these Bible passages. Also, thanks for visiting my blog post and for the tip.
