It Really Does...Start With 'U'
I have bee absolutely blown away with a post that was written yesterday by @shortsegments ments
So before I go any further, let me HIGHLY suggest that you take a few minutes and read it. I will be dissecting his post tonight and focusing on the big picture that I completely agree with...
The overall idea behind the post was that we are the community behind Hive and we have a responsibility and duty to build this blockchain to the elvels we all know it should be at.
The acronym that stuck out to me was this:
A CURE for Hive
C-comment
U-upvote
R- read peoples stuff , Reblog their stuff and be Real.
E-engage in the first three things and put in some effort.
Let me be the first to say, this is something I agree with and have for years. I truly believe we will make or break Hive because while there are plenty of issues here oin chain....The community is always king!
So we comment more, we upvote more, we actually read the Snaps and posts, and we take our time to engage with others.
This has nothing to do with the DHF. This has nothing to do with what the witnesses do or don't do. And it's most definitely has nothing to do with the price of Hive.
It has to do with us....
Fancy that...Even though in @shortsegments post, he had the U in CURE for upvote, I'd add something else to that letter...
U - Us
U - Use
Us meaning, the community. Once again, regardless of whether or not the DHF is poorly managed. And whether or not the witnesses actually listen to the communuty...We are what matters on Hive. Us, the community!
And how can we make an impact?
We actually USE the blockchain.
Have you seen the incredible things being built on @snapie? On @threespeak ? How about that new @hive-grove faucet game? Not to mention @ecency and their incredible mobile experience...
I mean come on....Stop looking at the price of this stuff, and start seeing what an incredible blockchain platform we have right here. Let's USE this stuff, and make it our true home online!
I can't thank @shortsegments enough for that post yesterday because it really fired me up. The entire concept of being a product of our own product is something I have screamed from the mountain tops for years here, and it's like the no brainer of no brainers.
Use the apps!
Use the blockchain.
And let the community (us) remind the entire internet, that we truly have the greatest blockchain online.

In the end the core of hive is content. That’s what people come back for.
It's a good post, and I agree that we need to us the platform.
What a wonderful post... But in reality, people don't take time to read other people's post here, why? It's because bot automatically do the upvoting. That's why we see less viewers, but incredible numbers of upvotes.
we are so attached to the upvote. but most people use social media and never even think of getting a penny.
why is that different here?
Seems you misunderstood me. All I'm saying is, because of the automated voting system, people don't really take time to read, comment before the get to vote what they like.
But if you are talking about other social media, brother! People are engaging really good now to earn. Check X, almost 70% of people on X have subscribed, and engaging seriously so the can be monetize and earn . Check Facebook, almost ( if not all) everyone there got a professional page, posting steadily so they can be monetize.
But hey! That wasn't my point anyway:)

Indeed, this what I thought of earlier by contributing to the community by engaging more frequently. Honestly, it's easy to do so, it doesn't take much of your time, and top of that you learn something new when you keep reading. It also encourages the author to put in more effort next time. Thank you for writing about it. It really matters.
