Introducing #Bible911 - A New Series

After the end of the #kingdomproverbs series last week, I have been searching for a new idea to run with. I love having content to write about especially when it comes to Scripture, and even though we've got over 30,000 verses to choose from in the bible, following a plan is always best.

It's funny how God works...

I'm sitting there, struggling with what we could go over in the next few weeks and I started looking over at my bible collection....Yeah I have a few...

I actually read pretty much all of these at one given moment in my journey through Scripture but there was one that was first....

On the right side of that photo I have circled my original bible. This is one I bought around 2007 or 2008 and at that time, I didn't know anything about God, Christ or anything to do with faith. I just found this old Thomas Nelson Large Print Reference bible in my local bookstore for 20 bucks. Bought it and it was sitting on my shelf for a few years...

I then started getting curious. My wife (girlfriend at that time) and I started discussing religion and how important it was to base our relationship on God, so that encouraged me to dive into Scripture. I was hooked! The more I studied, the more I fell in love with God. There were so many truths that I learned, and so many popular catch phrases that came directly from the pages of Scripture...I was just blown away.

I couldn't put this thing down.

I wrote in it. Highlighted everything. Scribbled tiny stars and symbols besides references so I could remember them. I even pasted different graphics and images in between the pages. Which all led to my love of the bible and a deeper love of Christ....

Which brings me to point of this blog post...

This is a graphic I have taped to the inside front cover of my first bible.

I can't remember where I found it, but this was something that I could use, every day when I needed to go to the bible for an answer.

And that's the graphic I'm going to go over in this next #bible series.

There's 17 verses / chapters, going over a variety of topics. Each of them I pray, can help us in our walk with God and through the ups and downs of life. We will go over them each day I post to the blog, expand on it and of course dig deep in how this can help us, in practical ways!

I know from personal experience that these verses and chapters have helped me tremendously. So I'll even share some testimonials along the way.

We'll call this series #bible911

I think there's a catchy ring to it :)
