God Or Man? [Podcast]

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Want to see different denominations within Christianity bump heads?

Talk about.....Sola Scriptura.

Talk about.....Church history.

Talk about......Church fathers.

And guess what yours truly decided to do this evening on the latest Bibles, Books & Blockchain #podcast ??

Yup, you got it. I talk about it all :)

The question then becomes simple....

Who do we get our faith from?

Do we sprinkle this and that and come up with our own doctrine?

Let's dive into this heated topic with love and respect. And I'd love to hear your comments on this as well...

Funny how our guardian angels work. I had my Twitter account suspended about two weeks ago. Best thing that ever happened.
Your Bible comes from what the Roman Catholics decided your Bible would be, and you put your faith in it. LOL
Of course, you only have 66 books and letters, whereas Roman Catholics have 73. The Roman Catholics have great documentation of the history and why each book was chosen, whereas Protestants do not have it documented.

Paul was a great example to use

In Galations 1 14 he is specifically talking about the "Jews' religion" and not speaking of Christian tradition.

Sola scriptura literally ignores scripture when it does not support sola scriptura.
Two verses in 2 Thessalonians in particular that speak of traditions are:

2 Thessalonians 2:15: "So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter." This directly supports oral apostolic tradition alongside written Scripture.

2 Thessalonians 3:6: "Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is living in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us."

Jesus is literally talking about the Jews and not the church fathers.

What does the Bible say?

1 Timothy 3:15 states, "...the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth" (KJV).

Anti-Catholic propoganda kept me away from the church founded by Jesus for all my life until I was 58 years old.

A Priest studies here where I live for nine years before becoming a Deacon. Then they cannot become a Priest until the Bishop of their diocese ordains them, which maintains apostolic succession.

Does the Catholic Church have problems? Absolutely, and has so since Jesus chose his apostles. Peter denied Jesus, Thomas doubted Jesus, Judas stole from the collection, etc.

Do Protestant churches have problems? Absolutely.
