Happy Father's Day

This is another year without you, dad.

if you still have a father who would
drop everything to defend you and says,
“don’t worry, my princess,”

sit with him a lil longer.
listen to his stories,
even you’ve heard before
buy his fav food, hug him tightly.
tell him you love him.

for those of us whose fathers now live in photographs, memories & prayers,
we love them differently.

not a single day passes without me missing you.

i hope heaven has been gentle to you,
just as you were always gentle to us.

until we meet again,
in a place where there are no more farewells. 🤍
