Your zucchini shows how rewarding gardening can be, even when the weather and pollinators are not perfect. To have enough for winter and still be able to share with the chickens is proof that the garden gives more than we expect. I can understand this feeling because I also see it in tomatoes. Even if the plant looks weak or has small leaves it still gives fruits.
