It would have been good if you had stepped in and rebuked them onchain so that everyone can see that there are more community members that are trying to help them. But it's all good, and it does not necessarily show yours to be a bad account: people are people, period. You cannot control people, you can give them your best, but it is ultimately up to them to use or abuse, and they reap the rewards from whichever way they choose to go.
In reality, there are about 6 or so Hiveans who have tried to give them good advice, and they chose not to listen, engage, or take any correction at all until they got hit in the pocketbook (sigh).
