LOH Contest #262: My Mental Health and Responsibilities【 🇪🇸 - 🇺🇸 】

  Saludos amigas de #LadiesOfHive. Les deseo a todas un lindo día. Su concurso semanal es muy interesante por las preguntas que se proponen y estoy de nuevo por aquí para participar fielmente cada semana con ustedes. Esta vez toca el Concurso LOH #262. Las preguntas elaboradas fueron hechas por @joanstewart y dicen así:

1️⃣ Salud mental: solo alrededor de la mitad de las personas describen su salud mental como buena, y les resulta imposible desconectar del trabajo, etc. ¿Cómo te las arreglas en un mundo en constante cambio?

2️⃣ Responsabilidades y cuidados del hogar: en muchos hogares, las estadísticas sobre la pareja revelan que la mujer continúa con la limpieza, el cuidado de los niños, la asistencia a los familiares mayores y las compras para el hogar, mientras que su pareja comparte los gastos con gusto. Todas las categorías, excepto la última mencionada, superan el 50%, donde las mujeres tienden a seguir siendo amas de casa. ¿Cómo se organizan las cosas en tu hogar?

  Greetings, friends of #LadiesOfHive! I wish you all a lovely day. Your weekly contest is exciting because of the questions you ask, and I'm back again to faithfully participate with you every week. This time it's LOH Contest #262. The questions were created by @joanstewart and are as follows:

1️⃣ Mental Health: Only around half of people describe their mental health as good, and are unable to switch off from work, etc. How do you cope in an ever-changing world?

2️⃣ Household responsibilities and care: in many homes, partner/spouse statistics reveal the woman continues with cleaning, childcare, assisting aged relatives, shopping for the home, with partner/spouse happy sharing finances. All except the last-mentioned category run "50%-and-above," where women tend to remain homemakers. How are things structured in your home?

  Cuando estoy bajo mucho estrés por la situación del país, la economía o exceso de trabajo, busco distraer mi mente jugando algún videojuego, sudoku o si no me pongo a ver alguna película o serie que sea de mi agrado, con tal de que me ayude a despejar la mente y relajarme.

𝔼𝕟𝕘𝕝𝕚𝕤𝕙

  When I'm under a lot of stress due to the country's situation, the economy, or overwork, I try to distract my mind by playing a video game, doing Sudoku, or watching a movie or series that I enjoy, as long as it helps me clear my mind and relax.

  Y cuando nada de esto funciona, acudo a hablar con algún amigo que me ayude a calmarme. Y si el estrés continúa en su apogeo, entonces me pongo a rezar un poco hasta que me relajo por completo, pero siempre que me pongo ansiosa o muy estresada, busco ocuparme en vez de preocuparme. Para mí, esa ha sido la clave.

  And when none of that works, I talk to a friend who can help me calm down. If the stress is still at its peak, I pray until I completely relax, but whenever I get anxious or very stressed, I try to keep busy instead of worrying. For me, that's been the key.

  En cuanto a las responsabilidades y cuidados del hogar, actualmente no tengo pareja ni niños, pero vivo con mis padres y entre todos intentamos mantener la rentabilidad económica, al igual que en el cuidado de la casa.

  Regarding household responsibilities and care, I currently have no partner or children, but I live with my parents, and together we try to maintain economic viability, as well as the care of the house.

  Y en este aspecto, todos sabemos lo que cada uno tiene que hacer. Mi papá se ocupa del jardín, mi mamá ayuda con los quehaceres de la casa y yo, además de ayudarla en la limpieza, me encargo al 100% del cuidado de mis perritos, de bañarlos, atenderles con su comida y sacarlos a pasear.

  And in this respect, we all know what each of us has to do. My dad takes care of the garden, my mom helps with the housework, and besides helping her with the cleaning, I take 100% responsibility for the care of my dogs, bathing them, feeding them, and taking them for walks.

  También me dejan la responsabilidad de ordenar el fregador después de cada comida. Esto porque yo casi nunca cocino, así que ayudo en otros aspectos como ordenar la cocina o picar algún aliño para preparar los ingredientes y que alguien más se encargue de montar el almuerzo.

  They also leave me in charge of cleaning the sink after every meal. This is because I rarely cook, so I help out with other things like tidying the kitchen or chopping up some seasonings to prepare the ingredients so someone else can assemble the lunch.

  Mi papá es otro que también se mete en la cocina de vez en cuando,pero la encargada de las comidas suele ser mi mamá. Así que el punto de encuentro de la casa para colaborar de manera equitativa, yo diría que es la cocina porque es cuando unimos fuerzas como familia.

  My dad also helps out in the kitchen from time to time, but my mom is usually in charge of the meals. So, I'd say the kitchen is the meeting point in the house where we all pitch in and help out equally, because that's when we join forces as a family.
