Virtual Reality and the Future
In this digital world, virtual reality is not a new topic, but I think at the present time it would be the hottest topic if AI hadn't caught all the attention. Virtual reality is not real, but it can give us the real feeling of something. The first time, it was only capable of visualizing, but now it is capable enough to give the feeling of the virtual world as the real world.
Virtual reality is very popular in medical science. We say that doctors are the ones who fight against God to keep us alive, but they also need to learn things, and they also need to experience many things. They need to practice a lot, also, but practicing directly on patients is risky. And doctors always try to reduce the risk to patients. Virtual reality is the best option for practice and making doctors skillful without taking any kind of risks. Using virtual reality, a doctor can visualize and feel a situation similar to real life. They can do operations in the virtual world, and if anything goes wrong, there will be no risk. Nobody will lose life for it. But doctors will be able to improve their skills and become experienced ones. Their skills will be real, and it will help them to perform operations with more accuracy in real life.
In the case of training pilots, it is also very helpful. Training a pilot in a real plane is not a smart choice. Using virtual reality is very effective for training pilots. Firstly, there is no risk, and secondly, it will save a lot of the cost of fuel that is needed to fly a plane. Moreover, virtual reality can retrain a pilot about what to do in a crisis situation, which is almost impossible to train in training time because it's nearly impossible to create a crisis situation in real life. It comes sometimes, and pilots need to be prepared for it, and I think there is no other option to train pilots if there is no virtual reality.
In the battlefield, something else can already be used to train up, and it can be the most effective tool. We can also play various kinds of games, which are more entertaining than normal games. The technology is getting popular over time, and in the future it will be used widely for sure.
There is no doubt that it has many benefits, but it also has disadvantages. I think the most serious disadvantage is the health issues. I believe that in the future, most of the official work and various kinds of work will be done in the virtual world using virtual reality, and because of that, we will spend most of our time in the virtual world rather than the real world, and which will affect our health badly. Because of the virtual world, the time of interaction in real life will be reduced a lot. Using virtual reality, we can get a desired partner, and almost everything will be done according to our choice, and such a thing may bring the extinction of human worlds if not taken care of properly. Haha lol, definitely get what you mean. A prelude to that is already happening with the younger generation, I personally can't fathom yet some of the documentaries I watched about AI partners, like are relationships just about communicating endlessly to be understood and feel seen. The younger generations are trying to take the path of least resistance instead of developing their social skills and getting out there to meet real people no matter how chaotic they may be.
They are taking the path because they are getting partners and friends in virtual world how they want and it giving them what they desire. So, it can be a issue in the future.
Every technological advancements has both disadvantages and advantages, but I think a few of them have more advantages than disadvantages.
That's true and that's the reason we keep adapting with technology.
