Salary negotiation of a job
Money! Money! Money!. Everyone is chasing the money crazily, but it never comes to our hands easily. We need to make efforts for it. We need to work hard for it, and after that, we can get it. To earn money we need to do jobs, and in return, we get a salary at the end of the month.
Salary negotiation is important before starting a job. In this world, the give-and-take relation is the only truth. So starting a job without salary negotiation is nothing more than foolishness. In a company, the company owner naturally wants the best output by hiring qualified people using minimum cost, and that's natural. If one person starts doing a job without negotiation of salary, the company owner must take advantage of it for sure, as it's an opportunity for the company owner to get the better service from the qualified person. There are many incidents like that, and so I think it's necessary to negotiate the salary from the beginning. What factors should be considered while negotiating the salary? I am not a job holder yet, but I have my judgment, and today I am sharing my thoughts about it.
If I do a job, it must be for money, and when it comes to money, I don't take it lightly. A company will give me money for my time, not for my face. The first thing I consider is how much time and effort I need to give for the job regularly, and there must be a minimum level of salary that should be worthy of my efforts. If the salary is not worthy of my efforts and time, I would rather not do such a job.
The location of a job plays an important role in deciding the salary of a job. If I do a job in my hometown, I can continue it from my home, and it can save me from a lot of hassle. On the other hand, if I do a job far from my hometown, I need to rent an apartment to stay. Moreover, I need arrangements for my food also, which is costly for a single person. There are many other costs and pressures if I live far from home. So, even if I get a job in my hometown with a moderate salary, I may consider doing it, as it can save a good amount of money and save me from a lot of hassle.
There are many companies in recent days that require several years of agreement, which means I am not allowed to leave the job during the agreement. Naturally, I don't love to be bound by the agreement for a long term. I feel if the company provides me with good facilities, I won't think of leaving the company, and there is no need for an agreement. So, the agreement is kind of a set trap for an employee. I don't prefer to do such a long-term agreement job unless it offers me a very high salary. So, it depends on how much salary a company can offer if they want a long-term agreement.
Another thing is the uncertainty of life. Nobody knows what will happen next. If in any case, my situation gets worse, it's possible every penny may matter for me. In that case, I might not be in the place of negotiation, and in that case, I may be forced to do a job for a lower salary than my expectation, but I wish not to encounter such a situation.

This is from another angle. One author said having experience in a job also matters which I agree to. Salary is good and so also the experience one will gain in the job. Also, I love your perspective on this, especially when we have some organizations that feel they want to trap the employees into some kind of agreement or giving them a lesser amount that isn't compared to the time sacrificed at work. So, negotiating the salary is necessary before starting. If it's okay by you, fine.
Knowing how much your time is worth allows you to negotiate your pay. It's good that you have a list of things you'd need to be satisfied before taking a job.
I know a company here in lagos that gave their staffs one room apartment each and had an agreement that at least, u must work 15 years with them before leaving...funny enough, the salary was poor...but some people who were desperately in search of job still go for it
However, it becomes a challenge when luck shine on you with a better job offer at the middle of such agreement.
A lot of things indeed needs to be considered.

15 years sounds ridiculous and I won't do such a job unless the job is capable enough to give me a luxurious life.
