Power Supply
Electricity is such a thing that it plays a very important role in our lives. Over time to time the dependency on electricity has increased a lot. It's because now we are living in a digital world, and in this digital world, we have lots of technologies and electronic devices, and to run those technologies and devices, we need electricity. So lack of power supply at the present time not only impacts domestic life but also has an impact on the national economy. So it's not a little thing.
Without electricity is very difficult to cope up especially during the time of summer. In that time, if there is no electricity, it can give us a terrible feeling because at that time we can't turn on the fan even if it's extremely hot. It is like we have a gun to protect us, but in that gun, there is no bullet. I can still remember how terrible the situation was in the summer season in my country 2 years ago temperature broke all the records, and there was no electricity to cool down. Whatever, I don't want to remember the terrible experience. Now, let me share about the situation of electricity in my country.
At the present time, the situation of my country in terms of electricity supply is quite good. On most days, we get 24 hours of electricity supply, but sometimes there are some interruptions and the electricity supply is disrupted for a few hours. But such a thing happens sometimes. Maybe 1 or 2 days in two weeks or in a month. So it can be said that in my country, the production of electricity is quite good and can meet the demand.
But a decade ago, the situation was different. In that time, the power supply was terrible. Electricity was like a guest that would come sometimes, only. In the daytime, it would pass somehow, but at the nighttime we used to expect electricity to stay for a little longer. The duration of electricity was a maximum of 30 minutes and sometimes it would go within a minute. Candlelight, change light, and other things were very common. In that time, the incident of stealing the power cable also occurred, but it was never at a terrible level. But in the case of the power supply, nobody was satisfied with it.
After that, my country's government focused on it, and the issue of load shedding had disappeared completely for 9/10 years. We almost forgot about that load shedding, as 24 hours of power supply was very normal for us. But in 2023, due to bad economic conditions, several power stations were forced to close, and we faced terrible load shedding again, and the situation was extreme as we because used to the continuous electricity supply. Even in the bad economic conditions, there was no incident like stealing a power cable.
In the past, solar panels were quite popular in my country because the load shedding issue was huge at that time. Still, later people stop using solar panels as we have a continuous electricity supply, and at the present time, the situation has also improved again. It is a very good thing for us. When I hear about some countries that are facing exchange load shedding issues, it makes me feel sad because I can understand how terrible it can be. At the same time, I also feel lucky because in my country, the situation has improved a lot in terms of power supply.
In case of electric bills, it has increased maybe 1.5X compared to the past time, but I think it's okay. Ok means there is no scope to deny that it's the impact of inflation.

Wow! Which country is this if I may ask? You seem to be enjoying good light or electricity supply in your place, which is really nice. Hopefully, it continues, or gets better even.
I am from Bangladesh. And in case of electricity we are lucky because we are enjoying good facility in terms of electricity even if the economic condition is not so extraordinary.

Solar energy is good even if you have continuous regular power!
Yes, but why one will cost extra to buy solar panels when it's not needed.
I have said before that you guys are lucky . Your government seems to be more structured than mine. I am not expecting perfection but at least attend to important issues
Here, almost all families in my estate have solar due to electricity issues to avoid feeling frustrated
Hmm..we are indeed Lucky having enough power supply. It's indeed a blessing.

I also like the idea of using solar panels, that way you don't depend on any power holding company for power supply.
If power supply is a major issue, people should focus on solar panels. So, that government will be forced to focus on increasing power supply otherwise everyone will be self dependent in terms if power.

Wow!! The way you people enjoy electrical supply can not be compared to my own country.. We literally beg for general Electrical Power supply..
The situation of my country was also the same but we are lucky that those days are past now.
Yes, and it is a great and welcome development...
The most annoying part is the increase in the bill payments. Thanks for sharing.
Indeed, it's the most annoying part.
