No way to think lowly + LPUD

Human life is the most precious, and the life of each person should be equally important, and which humans deserve respect. It's not ideal to judge humans based on culture, color, height, or gender. Stereotypes are the beliefs of people based on one’s culture, gender, color, and so many things. It has nothing to do with logic. It can be considered judging others unfairly. Some common types of stereotypes are that a boy and a girl can’t be friends, men don’t cry, girls should obey their husbands all the time, and so many more.

I heard many stereotypes, but I was not involved in most of them. I was related to a few people, and that had an impact on my life. I don’t know why people try to judge others based on a few things. Does any human have the right to judge others? I don’t think so, as in my eyes everyone is equal; it doesn’t matter if someone is rich or poor, Black or white.

I grew up in a village, and as a student, I was good. Since my childhood, I have heard many times that the children as well as the students of the town are very smart, and they are more advanced at the same level compared to the village students. I didn’t think about it seriously when I was a child. Maybe I was not capable enough to understand it. When I was admitted to class 8, I was admitted to a school in the city. It was a new environment for me, and adapting to a new environment is always challenging. I disconnected from my old school friends, and in the new school, all the students were new faces to me. I changed schools several times, and so I was ready to adapt to the new environment.

At the beginning, I was focusing on my studies and trying to make friends, but within a few months, I made only two friends. I didn’t care too much about how many friends I made, but I understood that there was a distance between the toppers of my class and me. I was quite sure that the distance was not for my ability. It’s because they think about me slowly. They never humiliated me face-to-face at any time, but through their distant behaviors, I understood that they think about me slowly. Later, I understood that they thought about me slowly just because I came from a village. That means I was not at their level, and it hurt my pride, and I was a little angry, too. I didn’t understand why they were to judge my ability. How did they think they were superior compared to me? In that time, I promised myself that I would show them I was better than them.

To prove myself, the exam result was the best way to make them realize how wrong they were, and I was desperate to show them I was better than those smart students, even if I came from a village. I worked hard, and in that class, I never gave anyone the chance to beat me in the exam results. I didn’t say anything, but I showed them they are not worthy enough to judge me and my ability. I just set an example for them that village people are not the ones to think lowly of, and how narrow-minded they were. With time, they understood they couldn’t catch up with me, and with time, they started to become friendly to me. Although they became friendly to me, I always have doubts about their intentions. So, except for the first two friends, the remaining classmates never got a chance to be true friends with me.

It's 15th July, and the 15th day of each month is known as LPUD. On this day, one needs to power up or stake $LEO to participate in LPUD.

I think highly of the LEO and I want to stake more LEO as much as I can because right at the moment, the price of LEO is very cheap. I powered up a little amount of LEO. Have you done yours?

This is very common in many schools where some group of students would form their circles of friendship with the same ability as them and when a new student comes in, they assume he or she is dullard and shouldn't be seen around them and of course, the best thing to do which you did was to prove them wrong and their assumption and mentality changed. Instead of trying to feel sad about such situation, it is better to find those who are willing to accept you even if just one or two that you can study together and be more closer. With time, the other group would definitely learn their lessons.

I don't think I changed their mentality. Later they just tried to be close to be just because of my result not because of my behavior. I have reason to doubt their motive. I think they just pissed off and in that year they never got the chance to overtake me in result. In the next year I changed the school again. I just feel good to let them know they were not in my level also through my progress.

It happens with students here, belonging to a village doesn't mean you'll never be a topper because when God created your mind he didn't think from where you belong..... Well i like the way how you stay silent and prove that their judgment is wrong

Hehe. I never gave them the chance to beat me in result in that year. Just showed them how much incapable they were in front of so called village student. I love to take the revenge on that way.

Reading through this post got me emotional because I can relate with every piece of it as a woman. I can remember the unfair treatment I have gotten from the society simple because I am a woman. Some are even cultural and traditional based.

In my tradition for instance, no matter how wealthy your father is, there's no inheritance for the female children. Only the males get to inherit his property. I keep asking myself - why so?

Indeed each person needs to be treated equally irrespective of your gender, skin tone, religion and culture.

I sincerely hope we get to the point where we are loved for who we are and not where we come from or what we can do.

In case of inheritance there can be various possible scenarios. Suppose you and your brothers got half inheritance from your parents. It is justified if both of you carry same responsibility. Most of the the parents want their son to bear the financial issues and earn for the family while they don't expect anything from daughter. Do you think in that case you also deserve the equal inheritance? I just want to know your thoughts.

In case of inheritance there are many things to consider. I my country women get inheritance from father but compared to male their percentage is low. Again female get more portion from the mother's inheritance. If she become a wife she would receive a portion from here husband also and combinedly I think it's a good system here.

I understand the fact that there are various possible scenarios when it comes to inheritance even if it was a 95% for the male child, and 5% for the female, I would not have a problem with that.

My issue is the 0% inheritance for the female child. For instance now, we are all girls in my family. My dad doesn't have a male child.

Can you guess what will happen with his assets when he's not more?

I got the point. And I feel it's not fair also based on what you said. Can't your parents directly transfer their assets directly. Considering the situation I think only direct transfer is the best way.

Based on tradition, it is forbidden.

His siblings will have to inherit them

It's indeed crazy. In such a case, I just feel your parents need to sell all the assets and keep the cash in a bank in a joint account of you and your siblings. It's not forbidden to sell an asset, I think.

I love this. They think that because of where you come from then you're not smart. Good of you to prove them wrong. Funny enough, if you ask them why they thought so lowly of you to begin with, they won't have a good answer.

I know and still many people have the same mentality now. One person can be unsmart but it doesn't mean others can think about the person lowly just because of coming from village. As a human everyone is equal in my eyes. I just proved them they are not capable enough to beat a so called village student.
