Money give the strength to reveal the true self
Human behavior is quite mysterious, and it's indeed very hard to understand what's going on in the mind of a human. Sometimes, a person we know for many years turns out to be an unknown person. Because of some factors, we may see a different personality in a person, which can be hard to believe. Sometimes money can be the driving factor, and maybe that's why it's said that money can change a person. Do you agree with it? Let me share my thoughts on it.
Money is very important in life, and it's certain that at every stage of life we need money for our basic needs and to fulfill our desires. Everyone wants to make as much money as they can, and that's very natural in my opinion. However, it has been noticed that many people change after getting rich or receiving a good amount of money. Many people become arrogant. What actually brings these changes? Is money the reason for it? To help explain this, I'm sharing an example.
In our society, there are various kinds of people—some honest and some not. Those so-called honest people are not actually honest. They're honest because they didn't get the opportunity to become dishonest, or they're afraid of something (maybe punishment), which is why they didn't choose to be dishonest. I'm pretty sure that if they got an opportunity to take advantage without getting caught, they would choose to be dishonest. How can we call someone honest when they didn't get any opportunity to be otherwise? Only a few people are genuinely honest; the rest are just honest due to lack of opportunity. Does opportunity make them dishonest? The answer is no. It was their nature all along. They just didn't find the opportunity to reveal it. It's the same with money.
Money comes with power and allows a person to do whatever they want without thinking too much about consequences. Money itself is power. When people lack money, they need to think about consequences, always make careful moves, speak carefully, and try to be friendly with many people even if they genuinely don't want to be friends with them. They have high ambitions, but their finances aren't capable enough to support them. They become friends with ordinary people, maybe because they can't make friends with rich people. After getting rich or receiving money, they get the chance to reveal their true nature because they're not afraid of anything—money gives them the power to show who they truly are.
So when a person changes after getting rich, it means that person is genuinely like that. They were just holding themselves back when they weren't rich. So money is not the reason for a person's change. In fact, a person doesn't change for money. Money just gives them the strength to show others who they truly are.
