Experiences for the better self
Experience is known as the best teacher, and it can teach us so many things that may be hard to acquire in other ways. There are a few lessons we need to learn from experiences, and there are some lessons that we need to learn from others’ experiences. Experiences are always valuable, all the time. Suppose you learned so many things about the airplane and its function in a book, and maybe you can remember all the functions in your mind, but seeing it and practicing it can teach you more and better than remembering it. Experience is always better than theoretical knowledge. Moreover, it can help us understand the situation and pressure better and find the solutions.
Some experience lets us know what is right and what is wrong, and what steps should be taken for a better life also. Several times, our parents and elders give us some advice, and we don’t understand the true meaning of it. There was a certain thing I also understood after experiencing it, and it was a significant one in my opinion, as it helped me understand the situation better and not to divert from the original track. Let me share about it.
Parents always suggest we not mix with bad kids because they are afraid that we may learn bad manners or behaviors from them. In my early age I used to think that they were overthinking about it because of how someone can influence others so much unless one wants to change. I think at that time I was not mature enough to understand the statement. To play football, I started to become friendly with some local kids. I started to enjoy their company while I used to play football. Most of them used to use slang casually, and some were very offensive in my opinion. I let it go in the beginning, but with time, I also started to say bad words like them, like it was a matter of showing dominance and feeling proud. At first, I thought it was a great thing, but after a deeper understanding, I realized how much worse I became at that time. Nobody told me anything, but I realized that I had stopped playing with those local kids. I am thankful that I realized it in time before it was too late. At least I didn’t learn so many bad things from them. It was the first time, and later I encountered another thing.
When I was admitted to a new school in the city, the school was not so good. Most of the students at the school were below average, as they were not so serious about it. There were not so many students with whom I could compete, which was normal in the lower classes. There was no competition, and it was just a matter of time. I almost became like them, and I lost my motivation to study. I didn’t realize how much worse I had become at studying until one exam triggered me. Mathematics was my favorite all the time, but in that year, I was almost about to fail in mathematics. Somehow, I passed, but I became afraid of my result, and it also made me realize how careless I had become in my studies just because of the influence of others. Realizing that again, I became serious about my studies, and in school, I broke all the past records.
Both are two different incidents and experiences, but both of the experiences showed me the negative influence of others on me and how those can influence me. I not only learned to overcome those but also learned how to stay even without letting them affect me. It made me like that; influencing me is nearly impossible, and it is because I learned it from my experience. I think that both of the experiences helped me to become so strong, and now I am so confident that nothing can shake me from my goal; it doesn’t matter how bad the situation is.

funny how that near miss in math became the wake up call. I felt the same when the easy enviroment dulled my focus, and it proves your right that who we spend time with sets our default, and wow my brain still flinches at report cards. You turned it into momentum, and that discipline will keep compounding even when the crowd drifts the other way.

I think I realized it before it became too late and I am thankful to almighty to give me enough realizing power. So, that I got the chance to come back.
