Most children would say "okay" to what their parents say, but they will do their thing anyway :) But you are a wonderful father to your boys, so no doubt you would be a great father-in-law to whoever they choose for their lifetime partners.

PS. Winning the girlfriends over is a good move. You get to know them better :)
