Splinterlands - Pizza Guild Brawl Report

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and Midnight Letters community! My post today will cover our last brawl. I'm thankful to all our guild players who joined in our brawl games and contributed to our points. Pizza A Slice of Madness ranked in seventh place which was worse than last week's results. As for me, I'm still not doing well in this brawl due to my weaker cards. I only scored four points and lost five games.

Overall Guild Rank: Seventh Place

Our position as a guild is still not great as our goal. We reached only in seventh place this time with 68 wins and 31 loses and taking 53 Crowns prize. Despite of having a better win rate compared to last week, we still placed lower because the other guilds did much better.

Personal Brawl Performance and Selected Games
My personal brawl performance is still below average. I was ninth in our guild in terms of contribution to the brawl. My cards are still not as high as my opponent's and they have more gladiator cards than I do.

Battle 1

The game had an Equalizer rule. The initial health of all units is equal to that of of the unit in either team with the highest base health. I thought that for this game, the more cards, the merrier. It pays to have more units since their start health will all be equal.
I placed Spellmonger in front. The card has no attack of its own but it returns melee two damage due to its Thorns skill. Next was Mad Gearhead. It has two attacks and has Reach skill. Next up was Glimmermancer with two magic attacks. My gladiator card is next. I used Katrelba Gobson because of her lower mana than Quora Towershead. Katrelba is also a nice card due to her Double Strike skill. She only has a low starting life stat but that is no problem in Equalizer games. The next card is Grand Consul Minion. It has a low attack but I put him for an additional card. Last but not least is Kicking Roc, a good archer card that has three attack.
My opponent only had four cards because they are higher mana. He had Dread Tafarian who had healing skill. Next card is Mad Gearhead same as me. His gladiator is Quora who has a ten life stat. Thus, according to the rule, all cards will also have a starting ten life stat. The opponent's last card was also Kicking Roc.
The opponent's Dread Tafarian and Mad Gearhead takes Thorns damage whenever they attack Spellmonger. Placing him in there against enemy melee cards was a good strategy. After a few rounds the opponent had Quora left against four of my cards. It was a tricky game at this point because Quora can heal. My superior numbers soon prevailed and I got the win in this game.

Spending the Rewards

I bought one Gladiator pack out of my merit rewards. They contain common and rare cards. The new card is a rare one, Orella Abadon. It has two attacks, Sneak skill and low mana with only two. The other cards I got were not that special.

Conclusion
We earned 2,944 Merits and 24 SPS from the brawl. I'm grateful to guild for accepting me as a member and gave me the opportunity to join the brawls and earn guild rewards. I try to contribute by doing my part and making my cards stronger for future brawls.
