Hello, my friends.

I grew up in a very religious home. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances in my country, we couldn't celebrate Christmas properly: with a Christmas tree, like in the rest of the world 🌲.

However, I always dreamed of having my own Christmas tree, my nativity scene, my figurines, and decorations, and that's what I've been doing for several years now.

Yesterday we put up this Christmas tree at my house. I bought it several years ago, before I had my children.

They're the ones who have grown up with everything I couldn't have.

My children haven't missed a single Christmas celebration or Three Kings' Day since they were born. His father and I have made sure he doesn't suffer the deprivation we experienced.

It might seem silly. Perhaps some people think so, but I don't see it that way. I don't believe in Santa, but I do believe in the magic of innocence, of hope, of everything Santa represents as a concept.
That's what I believe in, and that's what I believe in at Christmas.

I believe in Christmas, beyond its religious significance, beyond the time of God's birth. Christmas means so much more. Christmas means hope, unity.

There are few things more beautiful than getting together as a family and starting to decorate the tree, choosing which ornaments to put on it and how to do it.

It's a real celebration with my children and husband.
That and more is what Christmas means to me. That's what these little trees and Santa figures mean.

I think that, without even intending to, I'm also creating memories for my children. That's also very beautiful and what makes Christmas so special.

Hola, amigas mías.

Desde pequeña me crié en una casa muy religiosa. Por desgracia, por las características de mi país, no podíamos celebrar la navidad como se debe: con un arbolito, al igual que en el resto del mundo 🌲.
Sin embargo, siempre soñé con tener mi propio arbolito, mi nacimiento, mis figuras y adornos representativos de la navidad, y eso he estado haciendo desde hace algunos años.

Ayer montamos este árbol de navidad en mi casa. Lo compré hace ya algunos años. Desde antes de tener mis hijos.
Ellos son los que han crecido con todo lo que yo no pude tener.
A mis hijos no les ha faltado una sola celebración de navidad, ni un día de reyes desde que nacieron. Su padre y yo nos hemos encargado de que no sufran esa carencia que nosotros tuvimos.

Quizás parezca una tontería. Quizás para algunos lo sea, pero yo no lo veo así. Yo no creo en Santa, pero sí creo en la magia de la inocencia, de la esperanza, de todo lo que significa Santa como concepto.
En eso sí creo y creo en la navidad.

Creo en la navidad, más allá de su contenido religioso, de la época del nacimiento de Dios. La navidad significa mucho más. La navidad significa esperanza, unión.
Hay pocas cosas más hermosas que reunirnos en familia y comenzar a armar el arbolito, elegir qué adornos ponerles y cómo hacerlo.
Es toda una fiesta junto a mis hijos y esposo.
Eso y más es la navidad para mí. Eso significan estos arbolitos y muñecos de Santa.
Creo que también, sin proponérmelo, estoy creándole recuerdos a mis hijos. Eso también es muy hermoso y lo bello de la navidad.
