The film I'm bringing you this time is The Crow, from 1994. It stars Brandon Lee, the son of action star Bruce Lee.

During the filming of the movie, Brandon Lee was accidentally shot, killing him.
The gun must have had blanks, but for some reason I've never been able to understand, they had live rounds in a real gun.

The Crow began as a superhero comic book in 1988. It tells the story of Eric Draven and his wife, who were murdered the night before their wedding. However, a year later, Eric returns to Earth to seek revenge and avenge his girlfriend.

Not only does the movie have a cult following, but so does the comic book. And that's not the only similarity. The story is based on true events, as the girlfriend of the comic's author, James O'Barr, also died in an accident.

This is one of those films that no one thought would transcend the way it did. The Crow is more than a horror story, a superhero story, or a revenge story. It has it all.

They weren't going to finish the film due to Brandon's death, who died two years younger than his father (at 28). However, with the use of CGI and a stunt double, they were able to finish it.

Fun fact: Brandon's stunt double, Chad Tahelski, directed another similar film years later: John Wick.
Apparently, revenge for dead girlfriends has a certain appeal.

The truth is, these types of accidents aren't as rare as they seem. In 2022, Alec Baldwin accidentally shot the director of photography during the filming of Rust.

La película que les traigo en esta ocasión es El Cuervo, de 1994. Película protagonizada por Brandon Lee, el hijo de la estrella de acción, Bruce Lee.
En la filmación de la película, Brandon Lee recibió un disparo, por accidente, que le quitó la vida.
La pistola debió tener balas de fogueo, pero, por alguna razón que nunca he logrado entender, tenían balas reales en una pistola real.
