Christmas is green. No matter the shade, any of them reminds me of Christmas. It also doesn't matter what color or ornament you combine it with; green is what attracts me most and represents it best. It's not a decorative preference; it's a conviction based on what this season truly means.

Green universally signifies hope. Christmas is, above all, a time of hope. It's the time of year when, collectively, we pause and allow ourselves to wish for a better future. We wish health, peace, prosperity, and happiness for ourselves and our families. Even after a difficult year, something in the Christmas atmosphere makes us think that the next one can be different.
It is at Christmas that we make resolutions with renewed energy. It is a time when, practically speaking, we feel that anything is possible. That feeling isn't red or gold; it's green. It's the color of active expectation, of faith placed in what is to come.

Nothing represents Christmas more than the Christmas tree. Every home decorates one of these trees. It's the centerpiece of the celebration in most homes.

That tree isn't green by accident. It represents very concrete things: a thriving life, because it remains full and vibrant in the middle of winter; good health, because of its strength; and longevity, because it's evergreen and its leaves don't fall.
It's a physical reminder that life persists, endures, and flourishes even when conditions are adverse. The tree and its color are a direct message of continuity and resilience.

Without its green, the tree would completely lose this profound meaning and become a mere support for lights.

Christmas is not just a festive finish line, an end point. Above all, it is a luminous announcement that a new cycle is about to begin. It gives us permission and the impetus to move forward.

We close a chapter, but with the absolute certainty that life goes on. Christmas is that pause filled with green energy that recharges us and gives us the green light to move forward into the new year.

On the other hand, we can also see that the color green represents nature, renewal, and peace of mind. When I think of peace, I visualize it in a green and serene space.

And these are precisely the states we most long for, the ones that form part of our Christmas wishes. We seek to renew our family and friendship bonds, find calm after the year's accumulated stress, and reconnect with what is essential, with the natural world that the daily grind makes us forget.
Christmas carols speak of peace, cards of love and joy. That inner peace and calm we so desire are not gold or silver; they have the color of tranquil foliage and nature at rest.

For all these reasons, when I look at Christmas, I see green first and most intensely. I see active hope, the tree's persistent life, the clear sign of continuation, and the deep longing for peace, renewal, and tranquility.

The other colors are complementary: red is the emotion of the moment, gold is celebration, white is purity. But green is the underlying meaning, the solid and enduring foundation upon which everything else rests. Christmas, in its truest and most lasting essence, is green.

La navidad es de color verde. No importa el tono que sea, cualquiera de ellos me recuerda la navidad. Tampoco importa con qué color o adorno lo combines, es el verde el que más me atrae y representa. No es una preferencia decorativa; es una convicción basada en lo que esta época significa en realidad.

El verde significa, de manera universal, la esperanza. La navidad es, por encima de todo, una época de esperanza. Es el momento del año en el que, de forma colectiva, hacemos una pausa y nos permitimos desear un futuro mejor.
Deseamos salud, paz, prosperidad y felicidad para nosotros y para nuestras familias. Incluso después de un año difícil, algo en el ambiente navideño nos hace pensar que el próximo puede ser diferente.
Es en navidad cuando creamos propósitos con una energía renovada. Es un período donde, de forma práctica, sentimos que todo es posible. Ese sentimiento no es rojo ni dorado; es verde. Es el color de la expectativa activa, de la fe puesta en lo que está por venir.

No hay nada que represente más la navidad que el arbolito. En todo hogar se adorna uno de estos arbolitos. Es el centro de la celebración en la mayoría de los hogares.
Ese árbol no es verde por accidente. Representa cosas muy concretas: la vida próspera, porque se mantiene lleno y vibrante en pleno invierno; la buena salud, por su fortaleza; y la longevidad, por ser de hoja perenne, que no se cae.
Es un recordatorio físico de que la vida persiste, resiste y florece incluso cuando las condiciones son adversas. El árbol y su color son un mensaje directo de continuidad y resistencia.
Sin su verde, el árbol perdería completamente este significado profundo y se convertiría en un simple soporte para luces.

La navidad no es solo una línea de meta festiva, un punto final. Es, sobre todo, un anuncio luminoso de que un nuevo ciclo está por comenzar. Nos da el permiso y el impulso para seguir.
Cerramos un capítulo, pero con la certeza absoluta de que la vida continúa. La navidad es esa pausa llena de energía verde que nos recarga y nos da el visto bueno para avanzar hacia el año nuevo.

Por otro lado, también podemos ver que el color verde representa la naturaleza, la renovación y la tranquilidad mental. Cuando pienso en la paz, la visualizo en un espacio verde y sereno.
Y esos son precisamente los estados que más anhelamos y que forman parte de nuestros buenos deseos navideños. Buscamos renovar nuestros lazos familiares y de amistad, encontrar calma después del estrés acumulado del año, y reconectar con lo esencial, con lo natural que el ritmo diario nos hace olvidar.
Los villancicos hablan de paz, las tarjetas de amor y alegría. Esa paz interior y esa calma que tanto deseamos no son doradas ni plateadas; tienen el color del follaje tranquilo y de la naturaleza en reposo.

Por todas estas razones, cuando miro la navidad, veo el verde primero y con más fuerza. Veo la esperanza activa, la vida persistente del árbol, la señal clara de continuar y el profundo anhelo de paz, renovación y tranquilidad.
Los demás colores son complementos: el rojo es la emoción del momento, el dorado es la celebración, el blanco es la pureza. Pero el verde es el significado de fondo, la base sólida y perenne sobre la que todo lo demás se sostiene. La navidad, en su esencia más verdadera y duradera, es de color verde.
