Iniciativa: Mi tip infalible // Eliminar manchas en la ropa [ESP-ENG]

Saludos estimados amigos de Soluciones para el Hogar, ya casi sobre el tiempo vengo corriendo a participar en la primera iniciativa de este año 2026 [Iniciativa: Mi tip infalible](https://hive.blog/hive-108539/@home.solutions/iniciativa-mi-tip-infalible-esp). Uno de los tips infalibles que no pueden faltar, es como eliminar manchas de la ropa y no morir en el intento. Las manchas en la ropa son muy comunes cuando de manera involuntaria se nos derraman sustancias mientras comemos o por otra causa, de forma accidental como suele suceder. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión les voy a proporcionar dos de mis tips infalibles para eliminar manchas de óxido y por transferencia de color.
Hay manchas que se remueven de formas más sencillas que otras, en algunos casos, solo bastará usar cloro y un poco de jabón azul. Pero qué pasa si un químico como este no puede hacer nada?, como en las odiosas manchas ocasionadas por el óxido?. Son muy desagradables y no hay cloro que pueda removerlas. Se forman con la humedad y el contacto con algún objeto metálico, son más comunes verlas en la ropa blanca que en la de color, por eso, muchas veces pensamos que el cloro puede hacernos el milagro. Estas manchas se pueden eliminar con ingredientes que tenemos en casa, hay varios métodos, pero yo siempre utilizo uno que me da excelentes resultados. Mis mejores aliados son el vinagre blanco y la sal común, estos son dos ingredientes que siempre usamos en la cocina, y quien no los tiene en casa?.
Para completar este método, se añaden dos elementos más, luz solar y jabón azul. El procedimiento es muy sencillo, solo debes mojar con vinagre blanco las zonas afectadas por el óxido en la prenda de vestir y luego cubrirlas con sal. Seguidamente, exponemos al sol por unas 3 horas las zonas donde hemos aplicado los ingredientes. Si la mancha es grande o muy pronunciada, puede incrementarse el tiempo, 1 hora más. Transcurrido el tiempo, frotamos un poco esas mismas zonas donde hemos colocado la sal y el vinagre, retiramos los productos con agua y luego lavamos la prenda como se hace convencionalmente con jabón para ropa. Este es uno de mis tips infalibles que me ha funcionado de maravilla por siempre y me ha permitido salvar algunas franelas y blusas.
Tengo otro tip infalible que me funciona muy bien es cuando la mancha es ocasionada por transferencia de color. Esto sucede por el contacto de dos prendas de vestir, una de tela oscura y otra de tela clara. Si hay humedad, sea por sudor, con la fricción entre prendas se pueden manchar. Mi tip infalible para este caso es usar aceite el gallo y jabón azul, no cualquier aceite el gallo, el original. Que se hace en estos casos?, se coloca un poco de aceite el gallo sobre la mancha, y sobre esta, jabón azul, se deja actuar por 10 minutos, luego se frota y enjugamos con agua a temperatura ambiente. Es importante considerar que se debe actuar de inmediato, que la mancha sea reciente, entre más rápido se actúe, mucho mejor. Si pasa mucho tiempo, la mancha se fijará a la ropa y será más difícil de remover o quedará de manera permanente, en ese caso, habría que recurrir a la tintorería.
Recomendaciones
Las manchas por óxido y transferencia de color se pueden evitar. Antes de dejar la ropa sucia en el cesto, la debemos tender para que pierda la humedad que se haya generado bien sea por el sudor u otra causa. No se debe mezclar toda la ropa sucia en el cesto, lo que yo hago es colocar en bolsas distintas la ropa blanca y la oscura. Dejar la ropa mucho tiempo apiñonadas es causal de humedad que luego termina en manchas.

One of the must-have foolproof tips is how to remove stains from clothes without going crazy in the process. Stains on clothes are very common when we accidentally spill substances while eating or for other reasons—as often happens. However, this time I’m going to share two of my foolproof tips for removing rust stains and color transfer stains.
Some stains are easier to remove than others; in some cases, all you need is bleach and a little blue soap. But what if a chemical like this doesn’t work—like with those pesky rust stains? They’re very unpleasant, and no bleach can remove them. They form due to moisture and contact with a metal object; they’re more common on white clothes than on colored ones, which is why we often think bleach might work a miracle. These stains can be removed with ingredients we have at home. There are several methods, but I always use one that gives me excellent results. My best allies are white vinegar and table salt—these are two ingredients we always use in the kitchen, and who doesn’t have them at home?.
To complete this method, two additional ingredients are needed: sunlight and blue soap. The procedure is very simple: just dampen the rust-stained areas of the garment with white vinegar and then cover them with salt. Next, expose the treated areas to the sun for about 3 hours. If the stain is large or very stubborn, you can extend the time by an additional hour. Once the time has elapsed, gently rub the areas where you applied the salt and vinegar, rinse off the products with water, and then wash the garment as you normally would with laundry detergent. This is one of my foolproof tips that has always worked wonders for me and has saved me from having to throw away several T-shirts and blouses.
I have another foolproof tip that works really well for me when the stain is caused by color transfer. This happens when two garments come into contact—one made of dark fabric and the other of light fabric. If there’s moisture, whether from sweat or otherwise, friction between the garments can cause staining. My foolproof tip for this situation is to use El Gallo oil and blue soap—not just any El Gallo oil, but the original. What do you do in these cases? Apply a little El Gallo oil to the stain, then add blue soap on top. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then rub it in and rinse with room-temperature water. It’s important to act immediately—the stain should be fresh. The sooner you treat it, the better. If too much time passes, the stain will set into the fabric and become harder to remove or may become permanent. In that case, you’ll need to take it to the dry cleaner.
Recommendations
Rust stains and color transfer can be prevented. Before putting dirty clothes in the laundry basket, we should hang them up to let them air out and lose any moisture caused by sweat or other factors. You shouldn’t mix all your dirty clothes together in the basket; what I do is put light-colored and dark-colored clothes in separate bags. Leaving clothes crammed together for a long time causes moisture buildup, which eventually leads to stains.
