With the recent revelation during work, I realized that one have to be a little unpredictable so that others will not take advantage of you and try to be funny with you to shift their own work responsibilities onto you.

And when I mean to be unpredictable, it is to put it in reverse so that people will not expect how you would react. This unpredictability makes people think twice whenever hey want to throw something toward you. In my recent work scope, in view of mad timelines, the way people hurl the work around is crazy. Every piece of work will just be thrown at you, so the reverse counter I had was to accept then escalate backwards, pinning the accountability back to them if things fall apart. While it might seem that I have accepted the work, but I accepted it with the intent to return the favour back to them based on expertise and delayed consequences.
