A boss that is a "Yes" man and loves micromanaging is a toxic and poisonous mixture. I would almost label this as nightmare for any employee.

A little more on why do I say that this is a poisonous mixture as I do have such bosses. And I will first talk about "Yes" man. These are very often seen in workplace and these are people whom do not want to offend their bosses and often just absorb every task that their bosses give and then distribute to everyone else that reports to him or her. This alone will add alot of workload to the employee. Some of these workload might not be even supposed to be done by you but because your boss agrees to everything, it suddenly become yours.

Next will be on micromanaging. Because of the "Yes" man problem, you are already very loaded with work. By having that same boss trying to micromanage you, this will be the recipe for disaster. Every piece of your work will be under scrutiny, how you do and when you need to deliver will be micromanaged. This will essentially drive people bonkers if you've not realized.

If you ever see such a combination in your supervisor, high time to look at possible internal transfer or seek greener pastures elsewhere.
