The best leaders do not just boss people around, they lead by example. It is when a team has such a leader, the overall team morale will be raise to the fullest. I've observed in recent trends, while the team truly want a leader but they end up getting a boss, where all this guy does is just to boss around.

I still remembered there were leaders in a chemical plant during my internship whom quickly reacted to a situation and called out to his engineer, "Pass me the helmet". And then he went directly to the reactor to check what went wrong instead of just giving an instruction and asking the engineer to go check it out and report to him. This is what I call leaders whom are ready to front for the team, not push the team to death. People working under them get good support and know that they are always covered.

I wish I've had more of such leaders than what I have right now.
