Sometimes in meetings when discussions get heating up, people start throwing out their argument points one after another, then after round of exchange, there are times when one look back at the discussion pointers, it could be a situation which deviated from the discussion that totally made no sense.

And then when we analyzed a little more, it would have come out as, why did we even argue in the first place when at the start of all the argument, everyone was actually already on the same page of things.

To be honest, this problem can actually make the meeting drag for a very long time and many precious hours could be wasted where good amount of work can already be completed. Therefore the key to meetings is to keep agenda concise, watch the timing, pay attention to the discussion and most importantly, if the meeting does not have your item, do consider letting the organiser know that you will not attend.
